Did one with a rather unrefined fold technique. I used lots of colors and basically just winged it with pallette selection. Front and back have similar folds, but also have significant differences. There are so many secrets in these folds.

This was a basic accordion fold with a zig zag string path. I dyed along the zig zag lines. Only three colors were used.

Three more shirts folded and dyed. They all started with a inside out half fold but then each took their own direction. One was folded in triangles similar to a flag. This should have bold straight lines and quadrants of alternating color saturation. The other was a slanted ribcage fold that should be interesting. The last one was an attempt at a sunset fold, it may just be a celebration of colors for all I know.

I will need to let the dyes soak in, I left them sitting in a sunny spot hopefully the warmth will help the dyes set faster. I'll probably rinse them out tomorrow.

Experiments complete. Blue and yellow is funky as expected. I like the black and colored one though.

Two new and experimental folds. The longer one is a zig zag fold over the chest to create a target look. I didn't care too much about the quality of the folds, more about the shape.

The blue and yellow one just kinda happened the bottom was folded into some triangle shape and folded over itself. It was then folded in a loose accordion fold from left to right. I really have no expectations about the outcome, however there is likely to be unexpected straight lines. I will reveal tomorrow morning.

I usually do multiple colors on one side then black on the other side. But since my new black is really grey, I decided to do this instead.

The side with the black stripes is the one brand of dye, and the yellow cyan magenta side is dharma trading company. The two sides will alternate like the grey stripes of my past few shirts. I am using the same folds, but I did use a tool to try to help with the folds. Reveal tomorrow.

Made two shirts recently. I tried to be more careful with my method. Same method of folds for both, one was tied a lot tighter and more white.

With this rain I decided to make a rain shirt. I folded it dry and laid a bed of soda ash on the shirt. Then I put my colors on. In this case I used the starter pack colors of fuchsia, turquoise, and yellow. Then I sprinkled some black on top.

Well, the rain seems to have died off. So earlier I sprayed it with about 10 ounces of water and just now I've put it in a drain pan with some ice.

It may start raining again. I'll bag it in the morning and rinse it tomorrow afternoon.

PS the pattern. I used a handful of scrunch type ties in the one shoulder. A few other scrunches here and there. With the center still fairly loose, I gave it a half assed twirl. I'm hoping the twirl is sloppy and the various knots make it feel disjointed. This is my second shirt when the dye powder is applied directly to the shirt. Results tomorrow maybe. Someone remind me to post.
