It’s hard to endure the seasons of waiting, and even harder to understand what the waiting is for. But remember, God hid greater purposes into the places of our waiting.⁣

Your waiting is never a waste. ⁣It’s preparing you. It’s making you. God is maturing you in this season.

Don’t skip this part just because you’re lonely. Don’t skip this part just because you missed what’s familiar. Trust God in the waiting.⁣

This is the season where God is making sure that every tear you’ve cried, every pain you’ve endured and every sleepless night you’ve walked on are all worth it.⁣

Maximize this season serving God, honoring your parents, improving yourself and by doing what God called you to do.

Everyone hates this part but it’s part of the process. Remember, what is hard in one season is a rewarding season in the next. Learn to accept the things that are currently undergoing change. Patience is everything.

WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN HIRING A WEDDING SERVICE PROVIDER

Are you looking for a service provider for your wedding? Here are some tips on what NOT to do!

A. Don’t pick a service provider without getting reviews – always get reviews before you hire someone. The reviews will give you a good idea of how the provider treats clients, the pricing, and their reliability/efficiency.

B. Don’t pick the first service provider you come across – always shop around. The last provider you meet may be the best one for your wedding.

C. Don’t ignore the cost – even if you have the money, don’t spend it all without considering whether or not you will value for money.

D. Don’t pick a provider who is great but doesn’t communicate – communication is the key to a successful working relationship. If the provider does not pick up your calls or respond to your emails, think twice.

E. Don’t pick a provider who keeps pushing you for payments before they finish the job – paying a deposit for the job is fine, but don’t pay everything until the job is complete and the wedding is over. If the provider asks for the money before, walk away.

F. Don’t pick a provider who is not open to suggestions – if you pick a provider who is not open to hearing your point of view concerning the service, chances are your wedding might not come out the way you want it to.

G. Don’t pick a provider who does not treat you with respect – if the provider you find keeps brushing you off so that he or she can attend to other clients, find someone else, no matter how good the provider is. Respect in business dealings is very important.

H. Don’t pick a provider who bullies you – the wedding is yours, not theirs. If they are not able to do what you are asking, find someone else who will!

Giving your guests a little token of appreciation for attending your wedding is a great idea, as it makes your guests remember your big day with fondness.

How do you choose wedding favors?

1. Cost – decide how much you want to spend, and if that money is available. Also, some wedding favors are more expensive than others, so you will need to consider that as well.
2. The process of making the favors – Are you going to have to hire someone to make them? How long will it take? Will this person produce exactly what you want?
3. The number of guests – The more guests you have, the more wedding favors you will need. Consider this as you decide on which favor to give out at the end of your wedding day.
4. Longevity – Are you looking to give your guests something that will last for a while, or something that they may drop into the dustbin as they leave? Something long-lasting may be a better idea.
5. Your message – A wedding favor should communicate your gratitude to your guests. Choose a wedding favor that you can use to send a personal message to them.

Examples of wedding favors are bookmarks, notebooks, pens, plaques, wall hangings, etc.

Are you toying with the idea of having a destination wedding? Here are a few things you need to think about as you plan.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? – You need to consider how much it will cost you to have the whole ceremony at the venue you have chosen for your wedding. Costs will also include travel and honeymoon accommodation.
DO A SITE VISIT BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DECISION – You will need to plan a trip to see what the venue looks like and if it has the facilities you require for your wedding. Also check out the rooms, the restaurant and the leisure facilities in case you decide to honeymoon there.
CONSIDER THE TRAVELLING DISTANCE FOR YOUR GUESTS – Don’t make it too far, otherwise some of your guests will decide not to attend the wedding. Your family members may also have a challenge traveling if the venue is too far for them.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO GET MARRIED AT THAT VENUE – You may need to look into the legal requirements for your wedding at your chosen venue, especially if it is in a different state or country.
USE A WEDDING PLANNER – If the venue for your destination wedding is far from where you are, it may be tricky handling all the wedding logistics on your own. Getting a wedding planner will therefore be a smart move, someone who will source the service providers and coordinate their activities.
