Husky Fat Promotions would like to offer our condolences to Western Ave boxing club and the Hoffman family. Rebecca Hoffman was an icon in the OKC combat sports community and will be missed by all. Travis and Rebecca have not only had great talent go through their gym, but have also helped plenty of other gyms get their start. Safe travels Coach Bec, until we meet again.

This bout takes place in the Middleweight divison and features two HF veterans looking for an opportunity to make a statement, and to get noticed.

Up first we have Justin Alvarado. Justin is coming from Ft. Worth representing War Room MMA and Kickboxing . He is trained by coach Steven Wright who resume and roster of fighters speak for themselves. He is coming off a TKO first round stoppage in his HF debut. Expect to see a lot of explosive athleticism from Justin combined with power strikes. Expect him to establish the low kick early to set up his heavy hands.

His opponent is Emone Kincaid Jr. He is also coming from the Dallas area representing Armada Fight Team (AFT!!!). For him, fighting runs in the family. His dad was a former fighter himself, and is also the one of his coaches. Tall and rangy best describes Emone Jr. He has the ability to turn that switch at a drop of the hat. Look for him to establish his distance early with long jabs, and kicks down the middle. Once he's established his pace, look for flurries of volume and angles.

March 8th, The Embassy Suites in Norman it's going down. Let's take a closer look at this matchup in the featherweight division.......

Nick Stokes trains out of Cyclone Kickboxing Gym in Yukon, OK. Trained by his brother Ryan Stokes they are slowly but surely making a name for themselves in the local martial arts community. Bringing fighters up the right way takes a lot of patience, and you see that with the coaches at this gym. Nick was presented an opportunity last November to fill in last second to fight for the Featherweight title. What most didn't realize was the amount he had to cut in a week just to make that title fight. The fight went to decision, and did not go the way he wanted. He showed enough drive, determination, and skills to warrant another look. He is a long and rangy kickboxer with solid leg kicks, a good defense. Look for him to up his volume with full training camp behind him and to try not to leave it up to the judges.

Nathan "The Switchblade" Lehr fought 3 times in HF last year. Coming from the small town of Madill, OK he trains at Gorrell's Martial Arts and Fitness . Do not let the small town moniker fool you, everyone who fights out of that gym comes prepared and in shape. Nathan started the year off last year looking great at our "Love Hurts" event in Ardmore. While he won the first round, he got caught in the 2nd round and was stopped. He did not let that disappointment hold him back. He has since been on a two fight win streak including KO of the night stoppage via spinning back kick in November.
