Big Sam’s passion for vinyl ignited at the tender age of 9, fueled by a love for punk rock. The S*x Pistols, the Clash, the Damned, and the Incredible Shrinking Dickies were his early obsessions. His musical tastes evolved, embracing Two-Tone and New Wave with Blondie, the Police, the Specials, and Madness. He even dabbled in the world of rock with AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and the Scorpions! As house music burst onto the scene, Big Sam was there for the ride. Hercules, Marshall Jefferson, Maurice, Innercity, and Todd Terry became his new obsessions.
In recent years, Big Sam has delved into the LA beat scene, discovering the talents of Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Ras G, and Daedelus. And his love for electronic music continues to evolve, with a deep appreciation for the Teklife movement and the pioneering work of RP Boo, DJ Spinn, and DJ Clent 🔥
Meet John Kimble, who grew up in the underground dance music scene in Seattle in the 90’s. Started playing and collecting vinyl in 1994’ got his first set of technics in 1995 and spent the next 4 years honing his craft. Heavily influenced by the SF sound from the Wicked Crew and later by The Wiggle/Swag Crew. John moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and started Working at Beat Non-Stop with PCH label boss Sam Robson. John became a member of The Coastal Commission which released several classic tracks still sought after in the underground today. John continues his obsession with vinyl and remains faithful to the craft✨
Now welcome Ruben, his journey began in the mid-1980s, fueled by his passion for breakdancing. He immersed himself from the mid-‘80s to the early 2000s in the underground club scene in Chicago, where he experienced some of the best house music. He relocated to LA in 2003, but it wasn’t until 2010 that Ruben reignited his passion for DJing and began collecting vinyl again.
Since then, he’s had the pleasure of sharing the vinyl collection and love for house music with friends, fellow DJs, and audiences throughout LA💫

First up, we have Goodtunes97! He started collecting records in 2016, after being cut from the college football team which left him with a lot of free time. Around then his brother was also leaving the country and left me turntables. In 2021 he moved to the Bay Area where later created the GoodTunes page to share music, while also turning it into a vinyl-only label. 🔥🎶
Next, we welcome Jordan Heyser! Collecting punk and hip-hop as a teenager led him to a position serving the music community from behind the counter at vinyl super-store Amoeba Music by day and sharing his musical discoveries in clubs, bars, lofts, and warehouses by night. Whether programming slow-burning sets of dreamy, delicate grooves or applying dance floor pressure with harder-edged sounds, Jordan always has just the right records in his bag- plus a few surprises!💫
Meet Brian Hoffman, fresh off a move from D.C. to the New York City area, Hoffman merges contemporary trends with stripped-back vintage sounds. An avid digger beyond dance music genres, his ear for the elusive and obscure record allows him to blend elements of breaks, prog, and all things deep. His forward-thinking approach makes each set as different as the next, fusing classic cuts with rare and eclectic finds.🎵⭐️

Welcome Mister Ali, one of the West Coast’s only Persian underground vinyl DJs who is experiencing a well-deserved meteoric rise. ✨
Mister Ali’s approach and background to digging stems from a genuine love for music and connection. His obsession for vinyl stemmed from his desire to understand and interact with the music that he played, not only physically but on an emotional level as well; his record collection can be considered an autobiography of his transatlantic travels.
His musical influence ranges from psychedelic krautrock like Can, electronic-esque contemporaries such as The Knife and Radiohead all the way to esoteric New Wave, and manages to pay homage to all of these while still maintaining a modern take on house and electro/breakbeat.
Next, meet Monoclick. 💫
He is a selector and a producer from Budapest, Hungary, now based in San Jose, California. His sound draws inspiration from the late 90s, early 2000s house, and tech house era with chunky and sub-heavy basslines, deep space pads, breaks, and electro that surfs on hypnotic grooves. His DJ sets are a real experience that can be well appreciated even by discerning and critical ears.
Mono is also an event curator for his brands Fine Selection & Bedroom projects in Budapest and Near Mint projects in San Francisco. His first release will come out soon on the Sunday Sessions.
