It’s and The Feast of the 7 Pickles, our annual holiday dinner for charity and fun, is BACK! This year’s beneficiary is the Share Food Program, whose mission is to provide hunger relief in the Philadelphia region.

Our “Italian Holidays Edition" menu will feature a seven-course pickle centric meal prepared in collaboration with Justine Macneil and Ed Crochet from Fiore Fine Foods. The event is taking place on Tuesday, December 17th at located at 1831 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown and will include three seatings with 35 seats available per time slot, at 5, 6:45 and 8:30pm.

The menu will features a grazing board with locally-sourced cheeses; a Fishtown Pickle Project seasonal giardiniera with fermented rye crackers, local cheese, and salami; pickled endives and fermented winter fruit salad; pickled shrimp toast; spiced kabocha squash, hazelnut gremolata, and pickled peppers; sweet potato gnocchi, fermented cabbage, and scallion; ragu Napolitano with polenta; and torta Caprese al Limone with pickled cranberries and mascarpone for dessert. Vegetarian substitutions will be available.

In addition to dinner, this year’s event will feature wine pairings from Mural City Cellars, conversations with makers and a mini holiday market featuring local provisions including Mural City Cellars bottles, Fiore sweet treats and gift sets, Fishtown Pickle Project pickles merch, and more. Additionally, Fishtown Pickle Project will be releasing jars of Aji Dulce Giardiniera this month – a collaboration with Chef Eli Kulp that utilizes his home-grown peppers – and a portion of proceeds from sales of that jar will also benefit the Share Food Program.

IT’S THE END OF AN ERA… Please join us in wishing farewell to THE ONE and only Sam (lovingly known as “SLAM”) as he embarks on his next chapter in Thailand. 😭

Most of you know Sam, because he was our 2nd hire back in 2020 and has been with us during much of FPP’s lifespan. He started on production, later began working farmers markets and was our first (and only) delivery driver. It’s been 4 adventurous and hilarious years with Sam here. IYKYK

While we are still a little confused as to why he isnt fulfilling his self-proclaimed destiny of running the pickle empire (lol), we are absolutely thrilled for him on his next chapter. Join us in wishing Sam a proper bon voyage! 🥲

Slam, you will be sorely missed and we are truly grateful to know you. Thank you for the time, the laughs, empowering (and over the top 😆) whiteboard messages and limitless world view for FPP’s future. Now it’s your time and we wish you the absolute best….. ONWARD!!!

We just wrapped up and are in our 2nd week of our annual fundraiser

While this is our 3rd year fundraising it is our first without my Dad, who we lost in April to FTD.

Many individuals including doctors and caregivers are unfamiliar of this rare form of dementia and we are committed to raising awareness, so that those impacted can have better care, improved quality of life and hopefully one day soon, a cure.

For us, this journey was 7 years of agonizing pain. It began with dismantling my dad’s career, taking away his car keys while he remained confused and in denial. Every few months another shocking decline, another puzzle to solve, another layer of grief, but without time to properly grieve. While we are grateful to have spent this time with him, it was truly heart wrenching to witness him trapped in his body day after day. Most of those around us and that knew him also knew he deserved a better way of leaving this Earth.

More awareness around FTD is needed. If someone you love is acting completely out of character for prolonged time, I urge you to seek an evaluation with an FTD specialist.

If you’d like to help this important cause, now is the time!
