Yet another example of NOT working with the community and doing what’s best just whatever you think is. We support the BCTF.

Winter break will not be extended for B.C. students, and it’s a decision the B.C. Teachers’ Federation says they were left out of. As Ashley Burr explains, some educators say communication between provincial health officials and the BCTF is “very problematic”.

So NOW they realize restarting full contact sport was a bad idea? We are more and more confused with social distance rules daily. Places with spaces closed since spring. Places without space got re-opened only to shut down again. 🤔 BC NDP

All yoga, tai chi and all adult team sports are now banned in B.C.

Banquet halls were forced to shut down. People held events in smaller spaces likes tents in their backyards vs. Venues that had rules they would have enforced.

Come CBC “Officials on Saturday announced broad new COVID-19 restrictions for the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions to stop case numbers from surging further. The new orders focus on social gatherings, travel, indoor group exercises and workplaces and are in effect until noon on Nov. 23.

Residents living in those regions are being told not to have social interactions with anyone outside of their immediate household. The ban on gatherings from people outside the household includes outdoor gatherings and gatherings in restaurants.

Travel in and out of the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health regions should be limited to essential trips only.”

Taking away large venues to properly conduct events but letting restaurants open (most at full capacity) and sending kids back to school - didn’t take long to create a second wave...mismanaged.

The concern is particularly acute in South Asian communities, where weddings are often large, multi-day events.

Halloween party on Granville street and many unseen events like it took place - over a 1000 cases and more coming. Restrictions on bar hours and large venues being shut down is a recipe for drunken disasters.

Venues like Grand Taj have been donating their space for various charity events and provide food for those in need for years. Together, all stand alone banquet halls - that have been shut down by the provincial government - help raise millions of a dollars a year for local charities. Thank you Dr. Kahlon for your support.
