INTRODUCING: ONLOGIK

Our resident DJ makes his long-awaited return to the place where his journey began, performing at the very first KWIJT event and now coming back home to where it all started.

Starting out as a guitarist at the age of 14, he has been making music for over a decade. Whilst growing up in the metal scene, his taste gradually evolved towards more abstract and ambient forms of music, leading to various projects in that genre. Almost ten years ago, he fell in love with techno and has since worked relentlessly to develop his own aggressive style of mixing, characterized by endless layering and a dark, industrial sound.

His track selection is deeply influenced by dark soundscapes, emotionally driven ambient elements, and the raw energy of pre-COVID industrial techno, which he blends with modern productions for a fresh and dynamic take on the genre.

Since his debut at KWIJT over two years ago, he has made recurring appearances on major stages like Nachtwacht and Bolwerk. Last year also saw the release of his debut EP “Final Hour” on the highly esteemed Revok Records. His sets take the crowd on an intense journey—combining relentless energy with deep emotional storytelling to keep you dancing while exploring your own emotions.

Hailing from Wicklow, Ireland, DECADANCE’s dissatisfaction with the monotony of rural Ireland
was alleviated through experiencing central Europe’s illustrious rave scene whilst living in the
Netherlands.
Now permanently based in Amsterdam, his productions aim to subvert the structure and drum
programming of hardgroove into a darker, more industrial interpretation. Heavy, thumping kick
drums are a signature of his sound, whilst reverb-laced percussion and distorted atmospheres
contribute to the driving groove, designed with peak time warehouse moments in mind.
His mixing style is chaotic, aggressive and inspired by the old-school tradition of transitioning
tracks quickly whilst throttling the faders in the process. 2023 has signified a breakthrough year
for the Irish artist, as he has broadcasted his interpretation of techno across the Netherlands,
France, Estonia, Denmark and Bosnia as well as a peak time slot at Ireland’s Life Festival.
Beyond consistent track support from techno heavyweights Dax J, SPFDJ & Kobosil,
DECADANCE’s inaugural vinyl release “Atelier Groove” was released via the infamous Parisian label Molekül.

Dan Berg is an Amsterdam-based DJ/producer with a passion for crafting immersive experiences. Drawing inspiration from revered artists like Dax J, Speedy J, and ROD (Benny), Dan Berg’s sound is characterized by eclectic, atmospheric textures, dark grooves, and driven percussion tracks.

With over 3 years of DJing experience under his belt, Dan’s sets traverse a diverse range of styles, including groovy, hard groove, old-school, and hypnotic. His adaptability shines through as he seamlessly navigates different venues and crowds, all while staying true to his unique sound and musical identity.

After a long time of silence, KWIJT makes its powerful return with a night that brings back the raw, unfiltered sound—now with a harder edge. We’re turning up the intensity, bringing deeper, heavier beats and a more uncompromising underground energy. This is the techno that first defined us, only now it’s stronger, more intense, and unapologetic.

We’re back at Willemeen, the venue where it all began, and where our most intimate, unforgettable nights took place. This is a night that stays true to our roots, while striving for a harder, more relentless sound.
