1.Each team of two participants will go against each other.

2.Any common random topic will be given to the teams. A candidate will be offered 3 minutes to speak.

3. Each candidate has to state 3 arguments for his/her alignment towards the topic. Time would be given to prepare the points.

4.Cross examination can be done by the opponent participant who is against the alignment of the speaker.

5.The time for Cross examination will be 1 minute. Rebuttal for the cross examination will be allowed on the Judge’s courtesy.

6. Time limit for Rebuttal is up to 1 minute.

7.A Closing duel will happen among each team member with an opponent of his/her choice at the end of the 2v2 round. The time limit for the duel is same as 2v2 procedure.

8.SPAR will be conducted in the form of a tournament. This will consist of 3 rounds and teams will advance in the rounds on the basis of their points scored.

SPAR is an attempt to to get the discussion started. This is a community for debaters and orators to get together and do what they are so passionate about, TALK.
We as an upcoming community want to create a platform for all the enthusiasts out there to have healthy debates and discussions on ideas of supreme importance in the present times and the decades to follow. We aim to create a bundle full of opportunities for the students who will be visionaries of the coming times. The Thinking Man's podium, our logo is an attempt to potray the youth of today, ready to take on the world with the power of their words and opinions to reach to the greatest heights, but with curiosities still intact. The quest for finding answers is never ending. It's only human to talk, but most importantly, to talk sense.
