Wanted a creative way to tell the story of the first half of this elopement that we shot all on film. It was this or a reel. Might also do a reel later lol. It was a fun one.

This couple reached out with one request for their simple elopement: They wanted film and NO digital images. Shooting entirely on film as a solo-shooter (Brandon) presents unique challenges.

You have to shoot like every image counts (as I normally would), but sometimes you would think twice before hitting that shutter button. You fire one image and if a moment happens right after that the camera would have to physically move the film over causing you to miss anything immediately following.

This is only one of many reasons why film can be so beautiful! The intentionality and thought that HAS to go into every image, but also not being afraid to hit the shutter button when that moment unfolds. It helps to have good subjects and backdrops too! 😆

Oh, and did I mention the bride is a co-owner of a cool retro photobooth called huckleberry and June! I would definitely go check them out! Congrats to Theana and Colby!

Anyone want a free shoot? I want to do two things Friday:

1. Go fishing

2. Shoot something (photo) lol

Only requirement is you have to drive up 285. I will probably blow through some film too. Pretty chill and I like to have fun and play games while shooting. This photo sums it up.
