Happy Dusshera ! Navarathri Chamber Concerts is very happy to present the Vijaya Dashami concert by Vid.Kedar Kelkar .
Kedarji was introduced to Classical Music by Smt. Nanda Gokhale (Pen,Raigad 2004-2008), at the age of 10. Later he learnt from Vid.Shri Meghnath Kolhapure before coming under the tutelage of Vid.Pt.Suhas Vyas (Son and Disciple of Legendary Singer Pt.C.R.Vyas) . He has been awarded the prestigious “CITI-NCPA Scholarship for Young Musicians” in 2023. He is also a recipient of the Bharatratna M. S. Subulakshmi Fellowship in Music from Shanmukhanada Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha. He started performing in 2016 , and has given over a 50 concerts . Some notable ones among them are the cocnceptual concert named ‘Natyasangeet Of Maharashtra’ organized by prestigious ‘Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi and performing at “Kartavya Path” along with his guru -Pt. Suhas Vyas and 23 other artitsts in the presence of Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi ji on the occasion of unwelling of the statue of the great “Shri. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and inauguration of “Kartavya Path at India G*te, Delhi . This young upcoming musician is also a teacher at Pune’e oldest music institution “Bharat Gayan Samaj “ started by Great Bhaskar Buwa Bhakhale.
On the harmonium we will have Vid.Saumitra Kshirsagar . He has had rigorous music training for more than two decades under eminent gurus Dr. Chaitanya Kunte, Dr. Arawind Thatte and Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar. Today he is a leading Harmonium soloist and accompanist to many eminent artists across platforms and has a rich musical repertoire . He also excels in the theoretical aspects of Hindustani Art & Music and is a Gold Medalist in MA Music . Saumitra presents the Khayal‐ang, Tantakari (G*t) ang, and other forms such as Tappa on the Harmonium with dexterity. He has documented and recorded over 400 compositions as a part of a research project under Pune University. Saumitraji apart from his direct involvement in concerts, also supports with his infrastructure under his own production house which is hugely beneficial for the cause of music . Tomorrow’s concert will also be aired from his facility .
On the tabla we will have Vid.Rushikesh Jagtap , who started his learning at the age of 6 . He belongs to a spirtiual and musical family being the great grandson of the revered “Shrimad Sadguru Pandurangnath Maharaj Jagtap” who was a ‘SiddhPurush’, Yogi & great admirer and follower of the ‘NathSampraday’. He had his formal learning from Vid.Shri. Milind Pote Ji for 12 years before coming under the tutelage of Vid. Taalyogi Padmashri Pt. Suresh Talwalkar Ji since 2015 .He has also done BA and MA in Music with distinction from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. Rushikesh has many concerts to his credit as accompanists for young and eminent artists.

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is very excited to present the evening of dance, on Navami , Day 9 of Navarathri. We have 5 very talented artistes we will be introducing today ,coming under the umbrella of Kala Darsana, an institution run by Kalaimamani Guru Smt.Jayanthi Subramaniam. Very thankful that we could reach them through our well-wishers ,and have them perform for us .
Vid. Maanasa was initiated into dance at the tender age of seven. Maanasa completed her arangetram in 2015 and has been part of many of her Guru’s popular dance productions .She has won the District & State Level Dance Competition held by the Ministry of Art & Culture , Tamilnadu & the winner of the Natya Ratna of Sankara TV in 2016.She is a solo performer , with performances across many prestigious sabhas .Much accomplished Maanasa is also one of the teaching faculty at her Guru’s institution for over a decade .Maanasa is also trained in Carnatic Music under Smt. Padmaja Vasudev and is currently working as an In-House Counsel for a leading supply chain management company in Chennai.
Vid.Padmapriya B was initated into dance at the age of 4 .She completed her arangetram in 2018 . Padmapriya has been part of her guru’s productions and also gives solo performances.This psychologist aspires to find ways by which she can collaborate Bharatnatyam and Psychology to find ways to better emotional and mental well being .She likes to sketch and the versatile performer has also undertaken many trips across heritage sites as part of the Tamil Heritage Trust.
Vid.Rithi Murari has been learning Bharatanatyam since the age of 11.She gave her debut solo performance in February 2018 and is a regular performer in her guru’s dance productions& solo. She is also a promising Carnatic Vocalist who accompanies younger dancers for their Bharatanatyam recitals.
Vid.Sahana Venkatraman started to learn dance at the age of 5. At 8,she had her stage debut at the as Little Krishna in the ‘Krishna Leela Tharangam’! Sahana completed her arangetram in 2018 .She has also been part of numerous dance productions of her guru and has started performing solo concerts . Hailing from a family with a strong spiritual background,she believes that dance has a deeper significance to life than what meets the eye.
Vid.Shruti Vidyashankar started to learn dance at the age of 7.She completed her arangetram in July 2023. She is currently pursuing Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam.She is also learning theory and undergoing adavu practice sessions from Shri K.P. Rakesh of Kalakshetra.

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is happy to present Vid.Madhumita Doraiswamy who will be performing the last Carnatic concert for the series .
This young talented artiste started her learning with Vid.Smt. Kamala Venkataraman and Vid.Smt. Padmini Ravi. Currently she is under the tutelage of Kalaimamani Smt. Geetha Raja and Vid.Kum. Amritha Murali. She has given 50+ concerts in prestigious sabhas of Chennai like Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha, Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Indian Fine Arts Society etc. and also won many awards and prizes from all sabhas including Music Academy. She has received “Yuva Sri Kala Bharathi ” from Bharathi Yuva Kendra. At the age of 13, she was also been selected as one among the top five in a talent hunt titled “Five for the Future – 2016 ” conducted by TAG corporation, Sruti Magazine and Karnatik Music Forum among 100+ entries received from India and Abroad . Madhumita is currently pursuing her 4th year engineering degree from National Institute of Technology , Trichy .
Accompanying her on the violin is Vid.Gayatri Vibhavari Vyakaranam, who hails from a lineage deeply rooted in the world of music and her parents were her initial mentors. Presently, she is undergoing advanced training under the guidance of the illustrious Sangeetha Kalanidhi Kumari A. Kanya Kumari Amma and the revered Sangeetha Sudhanidhi Smt. Manda Sudharani Garu. She is a recipient of the CCRT Scholarship and has won various awards in competitions across sabhas. She has had the opportunity to perform on many esteemed stages , accompanying eminent and budding artists .
On the mridangam we have Vid.Jayendra Kumar who is a student of Sangita Kalanidhi Vid. Dr. Thiruvaarur Shri. Bakthavatsalam , learning under his tutelage for 13 years.He has performed in concerts for various sabhas, and has won many competitions over the years. He currently pursuing his Chartered Accountancy.
On the Kanjira we will have Vid.Sai Bharath . Sai Bharath had his initial learning of Mrudangam under the direct guidance of Padma Vibushan Sri. Umayalpuram Sivaraman and is currently learning Kanjira under Vid. Sri Sunil Kumar. He has completed Diploma in Mechanial Engineering & Diploma in Music. He is the Audio & Video Engineer of Sai Rocks Studio .

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is very happy to present our second artiste for Day 8 – Vid.S Adithyanarayanan . We will first begin with Adithyanarayanan’s educational accomplishments from his very impressive CV. He has degrees and diplomas in Music Production , Composition , Voice Training , Psychology and Mathematics . That is a very versatile range of subjects & areas to learn and absorb, and definitely find them all aligned in multitude ways to the singing journey .
He has pursued his Carnatic Music learning under two renowned gurus are Vid.Shri.T.M.Krishna and Sangeetha Kala Acharya Vid.Smt.Suguna Varadachari . Adithyanarayanan is an A graded artiste of the AIR , and has been recognised as the Best Vocalist / Individual Performer at many concerts series , HCL , Radel Mid Year Concerts held by Music Academy , Spirit of Youth Concert Festival held by Music Academy among others . Apart from over 800 concerts , he also has 5 albums to his credit , the most recent being “ Atraveesar Oli “ and “ Lost in Emotions” . We are very happy to have this multifaceted artiste perform for our series, and we look forward to the concert tomorrow.
We have Vid.C.C. Chinmayi on the violin , who is not new to us and have introduced in yesterday’s line up . Welcome back Chinmayi 😊
On the mridangam we have Vid.Kaushik Sridhar . Kaushik is highly passionate about Music and Mridangam since his early years. He started his learning at the age of 6under Vid. Sri Vinay Nagarajan and then in 2014 started taking advance lessons under the tutelage of Senior Mridanga Vidwan Sri Trichur R Mohan. He is also taking music lessons from Vid. Palghat Dr. Ramprasad .Kaushik has won many competitions and awards, namely from the Madras Music Academy, Rasika Ranjana Sabha, and L Subramanium School of Music. We are happy to be having him perform for us tomorrow.

Day 8 already ! Navarathri Chamber Concerts presents another performance of two sisters – Vid.Purva Dhanashree Cotah and Vid.Paavani Cotah also popularly known as the “ Cotah Sisters “.
The sisters are both vocalists and violinists who are currently under Vid. Smt.Kalyani Shankar for both vocal and violin performance . They are also mentored by Vid.Shri Rajaram Sundararajan. The much accomplished sisters have many awards to their credit . They are recipients of Sri Shanmukhananda Bharat Ratna Dr M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award for 2023-25 (Sept 2023), National Spicmacay Scholarship holders – under the guidance of Smt Sunanda Sharma for Hindustani , and the Bharat Kalachar scholarship right through the schooling years . They have won prizes under almost all categories across the eminent sabhas . Further noteworthy that Purva is a CCRT Scholar , and Paavani is a Carnatic Music Idol finalist . Purva is a journalist doing her Advanced Diploma with The Music Academy , Chennai . Paavani is still in high school. The sisters have over 50 concerts to their credit and have received much admiration for their YouTube videos , that we have listened to over and over again as well 😊 Welcome to the series Purva and Paavani .
On the violin they will have Vid. Shreelakshmi S Bhat . Shreelakshmi has been learning violin from the age of 7. She is a disciple of Dr.Sriram Parasuram. She won the All India Radio competition in 2019 and was awarded ‘B’ grade by the All India Radio , Chennai.
On the mridangam will be Vid. S. Kavichelvan . He started learning from Vid. Sri Vinod Venkataraman at the age of five. Since age of nine, he has been under the tutelage of Vid.Sri N. Manoj Siva. Kavi has also had the privilege of undergoing training from Sangitha Kalanidhi Sri Vellore Ramabadhran, and has had the blessing of performing along side him. He’s shared the stage with many eminent musicians
On the Kanjira , they are joined by Vid. S. Hari Kishore . Hari Kishore started his Ganjira practice and learning at age 17 , from Vid. Alathur Sri T Rajaganesh, and also from Vid.Sri Anirudh Athreya. He has also performed extensively as an accompanist for various instrumental and vocal concerts .

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is happy to welcome our second artiste for Day 7 – Vid.Abhishek Ravishankar .
Abhishek began learning carnatic music at the age of 8. He had his initial training under his mother Smt.Kowsalya (Disciple of Smt ML Vasanthakumari ). Subsequently, he is currently being by trained and guided by Vid.Shri. A.S Murali. He is a B High graded artist by All India Radio Chennai. Abhishek has a long list of awards and recognitions and each one seemed special and we had a tough time choosing what to put out. He is a recipient of the Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship endowment by Shanmukananda Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai (2019-22), HCL Carnatic Quest 2020 Conducted by the HCL Digital Concerts, First Place in the All India Radio National level competition in 2017-18, Yuva Kalakar Puraskar Award from the Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha for the Year 2018-19, First prize and The Best Performer award in the Ragam Thanam Pallavi competition held by the RK Srikantan Trust, Bengaluru, in the year February 2019 among others. He has been giving concerts from age 12 . He believes that Carnatic Music is one of the world's most critical forms of classical music and that its awareness should be spread .We cannot agree more. Best wishes to you, on this journey Abhishek.
On the violin tomorrow, we have Vid.C.S.Chinmayi . It has been a pleasure to see Chinmayi become a sought-after accompanist and her growth as a musician. She performed for us last year as well, both in the capacity of a solo performance and accompanist. She is currently learning the violin under the Lalgudi Bani. Her Guru is her father – Vid.Shri.C.N. Srinivasamurthy .She has many recognitions to her credit including being the winner of the HCL Rhapsody Title and recipient of the Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship endowment by Shanmukananda Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai. She has toured across the country and internationally on the concert circuit. We welcome her back on stage for two back-to-back concerts with us.
On the mridangam we have , Vid.Kishore Ramesh . Kishore started to learn the instrument from age 7 . He undergoes training under his father Vid.Shri.R.Ramesh and is currently an A Grade Artiste of the All India Radio , Chennai . He like his other co-artistes for today is a recipient of the Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship endowment by Shanmukananda Sangeetha Sabha, winner of the HCL Rhapsody contest and a first prize winner of the All India Radio National Level competition . He won the “Best Mridangist” Award from The Music Academy Madras under the Junior Category for the year December 2022. He has been performing for all major sabhas during the December Music Season in Chennai every year since 2012 , and accompanied many senior eminent artistes . He has travelled across India and abroad for these performances.

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is very happy to present young flautist Vid. Achyuth M Athreya on Day 7 of this series .
Achyuth’s bio data amazes us. This young 9th standard boy is pursuing his learning in Carnatic Music across vocal, instrumental and percussion . He is learning Carnatic Flute from Karnataka Kalashree Vid. H.S Venugopal & Vid.Varijashree Venugopal, Carnatic Vocal from Vid.Tirumale Srinivas & Vid Hariharan (Bangalore Brothers) and Mridangam from Vid. SV Balakrishna. Given Achyuth advanced in understanding the intrinsic nuances of music at a very early stage his first stage performance was at age of 8. He has performed over 100+ flute solo concerts on prestigious stages and is a recipient of the CCRT Scholarship, in 2023.
His awards and recognitions are many but notable among them are ‘The Carnatic Quest – Juniors’ contest conducted by Rhapsody Music Foundation and HCL Concerts, Chennai, Jan 2022, ‘Yuva Sangeet Utsav 2021 Contest’ organized by Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Chennai, Aug 2021 and many other prestigious awards from sabhas in Karnataka. This is clearly just the beginning for Achyuth, and we wish him the very best on his music journey ahead.
Achyuth will be accompanied on the violin by Vid.V Bargava Vignesh . Vignesh hailing from a family of musicians started learning the instrument at age 5 . He learns the instrument from his father Vid. C K Vijayaraghavan. He is the great grand son of Kalaimamani Vid.Chitoor Gopalakrishnan , and grand son of Vid.C G Kumaresan . Vignesh has been consistently winning prizes at all the reputed sabhas of Chennai , and also performing as an accompanist to eminent musicians from an early age . He is currently also pursuing his graduation in Commerce.
Our Mridangam artiste for today , is not new to us . We welcome Vamsidara Anand back on stage and looking forward to hearing his thani 😊

Navarathri Chamber Concerts welcomes you to Day 6 , where we have our second artist from Mumbai perform for us – Vid. Vignesh Shankaranarayanan
Vignesh started his training in music at the age of 5 , under a reputed Mumbai guru Vid .Smt .Vidya Harikrishna is currently learning under Vid.Delhi Shri Sunderrajan. He is B High graded artiste of All India Radio and CCRT Govt of India Scholarship holder.He has bagged the Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar award in the competition organised by Sharada Sangeetha Vidyalaya Mumbai and was also awarded the Hall of Fame in Chennai. He also carries a keen interest for percussion being a self taught Ganjira student . Along with his father Vignesh spoke about Konnakol & Percussion in relation to melody at an event hosted by Radio FM 93.50 . Vignesh has been a regular winner at all competitions in reputed Sabhas . We have seen Vignesh grow consistently as a performing artist over the last couple of years performing at various sabhas in Mumbai and other parts of the country.
Vignesh is currently in his final year at the reputed Institute of Chemical Technology , Mumbai pursuing his pharmacy degree & is a university topper . We look forward to listening to this young artiste on our platform .
On the violin , we are happy to have Vid.Satish Seshadri again 😊 Satish Sir , has been formally introduced in our earlier concert , but would like to add that he is a guru par excellence , and very well regarded musician in the Mumbai fraternity of artists .
We have none other than Guru Vid.Mumbai Shankaranarayanan Sir accompany his son on the mridangam tomorrow . Vid.Mumbai Shankaranarayanan who has groomed many percussionists in the city, began his training under Guru Shri Ramanathan, & continued his tutelage under Karaikudi Shri R. Chandramouli at Shri Shanmukananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha. He has performed widely in India as well as abroad accompanying well known musicians including many eminent Sangeetha Kalanidhis and other artists of great repute. He has composed and orchestrated a unique group comprising both Carnatic and Hindustani musicians which is a blend of Rhythm with Melody and which is popular by the name 'SHRI SOUNDARYA LAYA' and has performed widely in India. It is also very commendable that the family came together to form Mridangam Shankaranarayanan Academy of Fine Arts Foundation (MSNAFAF) which hosted more than 350 online concerts during the COVID-19 pandemic , and continues to support upcoming musicians .

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is thrilled to present to you the Day 6 concert. But first a back story . While finalising the list of concerts , there was one slot , that was not aligning . Serendipity, some would call it, but two members of the family recalled having heard two young spirited girls but unable to recollect their names. And then the quest to find them began 😊. We eventually reached their guru who graciously put us on to them. Happy to now have the Kemmannu Sisters & their team from Karnataka perform for us tomorrow.
Kemmannu Sisters (Kum.Sharanya K N and Kum.Sumedha K N) are born to Sri.Nagaraj Kumar and Smt.Savitha Nagaraj. They have been learning Carnatic music under the guidance of Vid.Smt.Prarthana Sai Narasimhan. Sharanya has completed her Engineering Degree and Sumedha is pursuing her 2nd year BSc Degree in Mangalore . They have given concerts at multiple Sabhas and pages like Alvas Nudisiri, Sangeetotsava by Mani Krishnaswamy Academy and Malysia International Carnatic Music Festival page, Sankara Netralaya and currently have been part of the Manjunada Concert Series. Welcome to the Navarathri Chamber Concert Series too Sharanya and Sumedha 😊
On the violin they will be accompanied by Vid. Thanmayi Uppangala . Thanmayi is currently studying in second PUC. She is both a vocalist and a violinist . Her vocal gurus are Vid.Smt.M.T.Veena Raghavendra and Vid.Smt.Shailaja Shreeram . She is learning violin from Vid.Venugopal Shanbhag and Vid.Mathur Srinidhi. She has participated and won many prizes in sabhas across Karnataka.
On the mridangam they will be accompanied by Vid.Pranav Subrahmanya. He started learning mridangam from Vid. H L Shivashankara Swamy from the age of 5. Currently under the tutelage of “Ganakalashree” Vid. H S Sudhindra from the past 3 years. Pranav is the recipient of the CCRT Scholarship and has also received a scholarship from ‘Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy’ Govt. Of Karnataka. Has won prizes in many solo and concert competitions conducted by prestigious sabhas in Mysore and Bangalore.He has also been performing in concerts from 2015 including the Mysore Dussera Festival. He is currently studying BTech – Information Technology at NIT K , Surathkal .

Navarathri Chamber Concerts is looking forward to the presentation of the second artiste of the day 5 : Vid.Niranjan Dindodi .
Vid.Niranjan Dindodi is a Carnatic Vocalist, who has performed in various prestigious Sabhas in Karnataka and Chennai. He has been practising Carnatic music since the age of 5 (for the past 18 years) under Guru Vid. R K Shriramkumar, Vid. K V Krishna Prasad, Vid. G Ravikiran, Vid. Tejaswini M K and Vid. Sampagodu Vighnaraja.He recently received the 'Sangeetha Mudhra' award from the prestigious Mudhra Sabha, Chennai and is also the recipient of the CCRT Scholarship for Young Artists by Govt. Of India. He has also been awarded the Ananya Nadajyoti Yuva Puraskara 2023.
He is also a gold medallist in Electronics Engineering from RVCE, Bangalore.
On the violin he will be accompanied by Vid.M Shrikanth . M Shrikanth is a sought after young violinist. Shrikanth is currently a disciple of Akkarai Sisters, Subhalakshmi and Sornalatha. He started learning music at the age of seven and had his initial training under Vid.Lalitha and Nandini and subsequently from Vid.V.V. Srinivasa Rao and Vid.Therazhundhur Madhuram Srinivasan. He spent many years training under Vid. T. Hemamalini and Coimbatore B. Dakshnimurthy.
A mechanical engineering from NIT Tiruchi, he works at a software firm in Chennai.
On the mridangam we have , Vid. Sri. Puttur Niksh*th, is Mridangam artist who has performed at prestigious Sabhas throughout the nation. He began his initial lessons in Mridangam under Vid. Kukkila Shankara Bhat and continued in the Gurukula System for over 12 years under Vid. Mannarkoil J Balaji, Chennai.
Again pleasure to have Ghatam Vidwan, Shri.Trichy Murali accompany Niranjan. Murali sir had his early training from Mridangam Maestro Kalaimamani Trichy Thayumanavan from a young age and credits his parents for the development of his inclination in the art form. Initially he learnt Mridangam and then switched over to Ghatam. He is an 'A' Grade Ghatam Artist from All India Radio. He consistently accompanies many senior artistes across sabhas. Additionally he has a Post Graduate in Commerce and Materials Management.

Navarathri Chamber Concerts presents a young budding artiste on Day 5 - Vid.Ranjani Radha V
17 year old Ranjani initially trained under Smt. Vasanti Gopal, Ranjani went on to learn music from Sri O. S. Thiagarajan. She is now under the tutelage of Sri. Vignesh Ishwar and has been learning with him for over 6 years.
She is the winner of Manodharamam & Kutcheri competition conducted by IIT Sarang . In 2022 and 2021 , she won the Tambura prizes at Indian Fine Arts Society and the Guruguhamarta Diksh*thar competition . She has won many awards in the competitions held by various sabhas , including the Music Academy Chennai , Hindu Marghazi Classical Music Competition , RR Sabha Trichy etc . She has to her credit performances at reputed sabhas and stages.
Ranjani seeks to pursue music seriously and her efforts in learning the various nuances of Karnatik music. We wish her loads of good luck on her music journey .
Accompanying her on the violin is Indhalur R D Shyam Ragav , a linear descendant of Harikesanallur Sri Muthiah Bhagavathar and Harikesalanallur Sri Fiddle Appavu Iyer and has been learning music from the tender age of 5.Presently under the tutelage and the guidance of his guru Shri Sherthalai R Sivakumar , Shyam has been extensively performing concerts for the past 10 years. He is a recipient of many awards and prizes from esteemed Sabhas and organizations.
On the Mridangam there will be Vid.J.P. Suriya Nambisan . Suriya Nambisan started his initial lessons at the age of 7, from Shri. Arjun Bharathi (Grandson of Mahakavi Subramanian Bharathi), disciple of Kumbakkonam Rajappa Iyer. He currently learns from Kalaimamani Guru Sri Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan for advances lessons. He has won the "Best concert" award from The Madras Music Academy (HCL Series 2018) and Bharat Ratna “MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award” 2022 - 24 from Shri Shanmukhananda Sangeeth Sabha. Needless to say he has accompanied many eminent artistes on performances.
Always a pleasure to have an uppa pakavadyam on our concerts . Happy to welcome , Vid.Ganapathy Gurumurthy . Ganapathy started learning Ghatam at the age of 10 under the tutelage of Padma Bhushan Shri T.H Vikku Vinayakram .Currently he is under the advanced training & tutelage of Vid. Shri N. Guruprasad who is the son of renowned Ghatam Artist Shri, K. Nagaraja Rao. He has a long list of awards and performances from over the years . He is also a diploma graduate in Ghatam , from the Music College ( Chennai ) and is a guest faculty right now in the same institution .
