It was June 2016 when the horses were evicted and we started work converting our vintage Rice trailer into a street food event kitchen.

I have no idea how many Cheese Toasties and pots of Mac Cheese we have served up during these 9 years but it has been lots.

Tomorrow I will deliver the trailer to her new owners Liz and Chris who will continue cooking up some Amazing Mac Cheese and I'm sure they will be adding their own twists to the menu. They will also take control of both the Facebook and Insta accounts. Please follow them and watch their journey.

As for me, I'm going to be trying something a little different.I’ll be serving up some Fabulous Fishy Finger Wraps from my very snug 'beach hut inspired' gazebo.

I have been saying for a while that it was my intention to hang up my apron and sell my food trail later this year.

However, recently couple of visitors approached me at an event and within days the deal was done. I will be handing over my trailer to them next week.

Now while I said I was thinking of hanging up my apron ….. I’ve had this idea for a while, Fabulous Fishy Fingers !

Jumbo fish finger wraps with gluten free, dairy free and nut free options. All served from my very snug new 2m x 2m ‘beach hut’ gazebo.

Who doesn’t love a Fabulous Fishy Finger ?

Liz and Chris will still be cooking up some Amazing Mac Cheese from the trailer and no doubt putting their own spin on things. I hope you will all support them. Once I work out how to pass control of these social media sites to them I will put up a link to my new pages.

The judging for the 2025 Artisan Cheese Awards has taken place, 626 entries - 121 cheesemakers from across the UK and Ireland !

Join us this coming weekend in Melton Mowbray at The Artisan Cheese Fair, the UK's Largest Cheese Fair. Talks, Tastings, Demonstrations, Workshops. Entertainment, Street Food - undercover in halls.

We get underway with two great local events at the Stockyard Melton Mowbray, starting with Melton Mowbray Comic Con this Saturday followed by the Artisan Cheese Fair on Sat 24th and Sun 25th May.

More details coming up of other terrific days out around the East Midlands.
