I have made the decision to add Micro Elopements to my services!! But what is a “micro-elopement”? I’m glad you asked!! 😅
A micro-elopement is my version of a Vegas wedding baby! No more than 4 guests in attendance is permitted, a standard vow & ring script are said, and at the end, I still file your marriage license. I still have a travel fee, but these kinds of ceremonies are limited to Inner and OBX NC couples only. Now booking!!

Not only was I their officiant, I was also their lead wedding day manager/coordinator. I could NOT have done it without my amazing team tho. Cesar and Brianna were like my clones…and they knew exactly how to execute what I was thinking before I even said it!!! (Plus, it also helped that Cesar is my husband and Brianna has been in the planning and event industry her whole life ☺️).

I’m not a marriage counselor and I don’t offer clinical advice. But, like I tell my couples, if you want unsolicited marriage advice, I WILL be Tia/Auntie Crystal! 😂
These 5 books are by far my top 5 when it comes to understanding HOW to be loved, heard & seen, and what it means to gift these to your partner!!
Finding the secret sauce to a happy marriage is not a “one size fits all”. It takes INDIVIDUAL work. Two people can fall in love, but to STAY in love requires the willingness to understand your partner in a loving way. That also means facing the mirror and accepting accountability. And often communicating even when difficult conversations have to be made.
“The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and “Verbal Judo” by Dr. George Thompson are definitely a start to understanding yourself and your partner. “HER”, “HIM”, and “Loving Me Right”, are books by Pierre Alex Jeanty, that offer poetic points of view of how to be loved, seen, and heard.
Do yourself a favor and read or listen to these books. Y’all, marriage takes WORK. It’s not easy and sometimes you probably will want to roll your eyes right outta your head. But I promise you, with a loving and supportive PARTNERSHIP, it’s gonna be OKAY 🩷❤️

Tickets are STILL available for this event hosted by and ❤️🩷. I’m so excited to be a featured vendor at this event for a multitude of reasons, but having all ticket proceeds help makes this “girl” mama’s heart so full!!
Girls on The Run in Hampton Roads offers programs designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits for life. GOTR has programs available for girls between 3rd - 5th grade, and 6th - 8th grade. And teens 16-18 years old can volunteer to be Junior Coaches!!
So, if you have daughters, nieces, or little cousins, come over, grab some sweets from , get some fairy hair and enjoy the braid bar!! With every ticket purchase, grown-ups can enjoy one drink and small bites from 😎

✨Let’s talk about vows✨
Words are powerful. Words give emotion. Words can comfort. Words can give hope. Words matter.
Captured by a talented photographer, you’ll have visual memories. But the heart will emotionally capture how you felt in those moments.
Writing your own vows is a gift you can give your partner that will be remembered forever.
However, you don’t have to put them on display for everyone at the ceremony. You can share these moments privately with a “first look”, or “first touch”. You can keep this reserved for just the two of you, and then go into the ceremony reassured, at peace, and feeling even MORE loved by your partner.
I think I speak for Officiants and Celebrants everywhere when I say: Take the time to write your own vows. Make them about your love for your partner. Make them meaningful. Make them “sound” like YOU.
Trust me, you won’t regret it!! 🩷❤️

✨Gratitude Post✨
When I tell y’all I love what I do, and I don’t consider this a “job”…I mean it from the absolute bottom of my heart.
I get to be apart of people’s special day and see the pure love they have for one another…first hand.
Sometimes I work with couples for a year (or more)…sometimes I work with them for a few weeks. But the feeling I get is always the same: pure joy.
When the couple are staring at each other, and the guests are staring at the couple, I get to see everyone’s faces. I see the proud faces of parents, I see family and friends tear up, I hear folks laughing, and I do my best to keep it together! (Sometimes, I can’t help but get emotional with everyone).
I feel incredibly humbled and completely blessed to be chosen in uniting two people who love each other so deeply. The fact that people trust me to tell their love story and give me permission to unfold their vulnerabilities for everyone to hear…is nothing short of amazing and a little magical.
As a wedding officiant, I feel like all I have to “show” are my words. The Bridal Pop-In last Saturday definitely let me showcase my work and left me inspired to write this. So, thank you for taking the time to read my words.✨

Still on cloud 9 from yesterday’s Bridal Pop-in! I got to meet so many creative and amazing small business owners and also got to meet so many excited Brides and their crew!!
😎Performing a LIVE “ceremony” at an expo was a first for me…and I LOVED IT!!! I was happy to not only perform for our guests, but for other vendors that don’t get to see the ceremony because they are usually gone by the time ceremony starts.
😉I pieced together a love story from past ceremonies for our couple, and they giggled every time I told those parts of the ceremony.
🥰What I did do, was ask them what it is they love most of their partner and why…and the results made the Bride cry. I was also told that some folks in the audience got teary-eyed too!!
✨Thank you to and .c.sergent for going along with the wedding script and making the ceremony complete with actual tears of joy!!!

I had already been a wedding officiant for a year, but I didn’t have the growth I was looking for with the previous organization. ✨The Knot Gala NYC Recap✨. Whew! Those 24 hours in New York was THE best time I’ve ever had!! Came straight from work to the airport, was able to get in a nap or two on the plane rides, finally met up with my High School bestie @solis510 for a quick bite of some tacos and horchata, (IFKYK), then grabbed a @lyft to the salon!! The ladies at @blowandarrow (Steph & Bonnie), worked their magic and I was Gala ready!! And when I called for my Lyft to the Gala, unintentionally, I ended up with a BMW X5 picking me up!!! I felt like a true celebrity!! This is why I love weddings. For one day, you see and FEEL all the hard work that goes into a production. And getting glam’d, for me, is such a treat!! I wish I could get my hair and makeup done ALLL the time!! Lol!! Inside @chelseaindustrial the space was nothing short of spectacular! Each room had its own theme, including performers, and I was here for it!!! The food was delicious and the multiple bars kept EVERYONE happy 😅. And let’s not forget about the after party at @terminal5nyc !!! You even got to CHECK IN YOUR SHOES!!! (And they gave you slides to wear! GENIUS!!). @jordankahnorchestra brought the house down!!! Small grilled cheese sandwiches were handed out throughout the night and they were amazing!! Y’all, I can honestly say I danced the night away with some of the most genuine and beautiful people in the most magical of places. So happy I got to hang out with my Fellowship for Change crew, @letspoptheconfetti @oakcityceremonies @morylaine @phillipvnweddings all night!! Thankful for @emiliebellsmith @weddingpro and @tkwwtim for developing and maintaining FFC because it has certainly changed my business for the better!! I have made some beautiful friendships that I can bounce ideas with and share in triumphs as well as struggles. Thank you for reading this alll the way through! I know it was a lot to take in. Lol!! I am down for a Holi festival wedding!!! If anyone have ever done a Color Me Rad 5K, you know that there are tons of colorful powders thrown in the air!! The celebration that is Holi, is the Hindu festival of love, color and spring. It's a time when Indians don simple, inexpensive clothes and take to the streets to drench each other in clouds of colored powder and buckets of water. There's singing, dancing, and of course, food. Yup, my kind of celebration!

A New Calling...
I love helping people. I love weddings too. Helping couples getting ready to say, “I DO” is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. So now, I’m taking the first steps in fulfilling that dream. This new calling as a non-denominational wedding officiant, is definitely a 180 from my full-time career as a respiratory therapist! I cannot wait to start helping loving couples achieve their perfect wedding day!
