Our days in the studio are always slower this time of the year and I’ve learned to embrace the rest. I’m currently snuggled up next to our wood stove, watching “if you give a mouse a cookie” and soaking up all the snuggles with my toddler on this chilly day. I decided it was the perfect day to reminisce on all these pretty details from Peter and Alyssa’s wedding last August.

In honor of the first snowfall of the year. ❄️
This wedding is still so special to me. Breanne and Killian got married last New Years. I was two weeks postpartum. The wedding prep was truly a family affair. My mom and grandma foraged all the evergreens for me. My grandma and papa foraged the pinecones. My husband helped make beautiful fresh pine and cedar garland and my mom snuggled our sweet baby girl while I made bouquets, crowns and corsages. It takes a village!

A beautiful New Year’s wedding! I wish you could have smelled all of the balsam, cedar and pine in the studio when we were creating this one. Working with evergreens might be one of our new favorites! All of the greens were responsibly foraged by my family in northern Minnesota on my grandparents land. 🌲
