Huge shout-out to Lakin High School, and Coach Schmitt for all their help tonight. We had art students bless countless children with free face painting, a few more men acted as crossing guards, helping people cross Main Street safely, and another few students supervised, and kept our littles safe in the bouncy houses. It was a tremendous blessing seeing our next generation step up, and go above and beyond in our community. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve an AMAZING community!!💛💜

Fall fest is this Saturday!!

Our Lakin Downtown businesses are coming together to host Fall Fest 2024 right here in Lakin, Kansas! 🏢

We will have taco trucks, 🍋ICE Guys Lemonade and Diner will be set up, and ready to serve you, along with🌮 Diego's Tacos, and a 🍔 burger booth!

We are very grateful for all of the support and help we've received in organizing, so if you happen to stop in at the businesses listed please thank them! 🫶

Cottonwood Coffeehouse will have our doors open, and we'll be serving our normal drink menu, ☕as well as our pastries, 🥐and homemade pie! 🥧

Bri’s Burritos y Botanas will be serving all of your favorites,🌯 as well as their chile relleno, (in a bowl🍲 or burrito), and their asado nachos!

City of Lakin is helping coordinate, block off streets,🚧 and help keep everyone safe! 🦺

Lakin High School has some wonderful students who will help supervise at the bouncy house area, serve as crossing guards 🦺 across Main Street, and we will have some art students coming out to do the face painting! 👩‍🎨🧑‍🎨

Sarah Schwieterman, Farm Bureau Financial Services is allowing us to use their space to set up a few of our local nonprofits, so they can spread awareness for their noble causes. 🙏

is sponsoring two bouncy houses for our littles!! 🏩 They will also be set up, and ready to educate our community on their banking options. 💸

Mathew Medill, Cpa Dirks Anthony & Duncan, Llc will be sponsoring cookies, 🍪 and lemonade 🍋 for your kiddos, as well as some sidewalk space for our vendors!

The Agency is supplying tables and seats 🪑for our food truck area, paint and brushes for face painting, and more than we can really name!

Prairie Wind Construction will be bringing out the tractor🚜 for rides as well!

We will post our list of vendors tomorrow night. Johnny Teichroeb will be prepared to direct vendors, and help set up! Mark your calendars, and we can't wait to see you there!

As we see three enriching years of serving our community come to a close, we want to extend our thanks to each of you who has made Cottonwood Coffeehouse a cherished downtown space. Your continued support has been the lifeblood of our success. We are excited to see how the coffee shop evolves under the leadership of Johnny Teichroeb and Enny Teichroeb. (And can we take a moment to acknowledge the uncanny similarity of our names...😉.) We trust that Cottonwood will continue to offer a space where connections are made, stories are shared, and memories are recalled (and made), and the spirit of hospitality endures.
