I have the extreme privilege of spending time with my Clown mentor on Sunday! From the Host, below....

Avner Eisenberg has been pushing the boundaries of the comic for 4 decades, and he is not stopping now. Having become a certified trainer in hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) he has integrated this learning into his clown teaching, in particular to help performers gain the all-important rapport with the audience in the first 2 seconds they are on stage. This, as you might imagine, is not only helpful for performers, but for any human being who might want to connect authentically and powerfully with...well, with anyone.

I'm delighted that Avner will be teaching the March ClownX masterclass, adding another whole world of wisdom to this universe of Xpertise and Xcellence that has already constellated around ClownX. Every month a new teacher, and this month's is one of the very best.

Libraries! I have been performing at the kickoff of Summer Reading programs for many years. This year, I am pleased to announce that I am adding the Pack Memorial, Buncombe County Library! As a special bonus, I have the honor of also performing at the Haywood County Library in Waynesville on the same day, Saturday, June 3rd!

Road Elf will be in Atlanta at The Battery this Saturday afternoon. Last Week was magical with appearances at Dickens Biltmore Village and Black Mountain's Holly Jolly on Friday. Saturday featured Dipsy Elf at Dickens and Papa bringing holiday fun to Braves Country.

A Dickens Christmas" In Biltmore Village celebrates the history, culture, arts, and architectural treasure for which the Village has become renowned. "A Dickens Christmas" is scheduled for Friday & Saturday, December 2nd & 3rd, 2022. For the last 30+ years, this annual holiday event has been delighting children of all ages and bringing the spirit of the holiday season to bear in Historic Biltmore Village.

In the spirit of caroling and sharing holiday cheer, over two dozen roving Dickens-themed acts will be performing throughout Historic Biltmore Village, including the chestnut roaster, as well as dance groups, instrumental acts, bubble makers, mimes, jugglers, etc... Performers will be entirely outdoors, performing for the general public around the Village and on the Village Green stage on Friday, December 2, and on Saturday, December 3.

The magic and charm of Historic Biltmore Village, filled with dickens carolers and lit with holiday lights after dark, is truly unparalleled. As in years past, a fully decorated 15+ foot Christmas Tree will be lit on the Village Green (adjacent to the intersection of Boston Way/Kitchin Place/Biltmore Plaza). We invite everyone to come and visit, warm their heart, and get into the holiday spirit.

Experience the enchantment, complete your holiday shopping and dine in seasonal splendor during the Biltmore Village "A Dickens Christmas" and begin your own holiday season tradition.

Dates & Schedule
FRIDAY (Dec. 2):
5 - 8 PM Roving acts/entertainment throughout the village and on stage at Village Green.
4 - 7 PM Christmas Market & Carnival Games for Kids (NEW AND HEAVILY DECORATED), including food vendors and live music (Spartina Parking Lot).
6:30: Santa will appear at the Christmas Market area and lead folks to tree lighting.

SATURDAY (Dec. 3):

11 AM - 6 PM Roving acts/entertainment throughout the village and on stage at Village Green.
1 - 6 PM: Christmas Market (NEW), including food vendors and live music (Spartina Parking Lot).
1 - 6 PM: Merchants hosting various holiday attractions.

Papa Elf just found the right hats for the job. He will be using several helper kids to create some magic for the boss at Mall of Georgia’s Santa Arrival and Tree Lighting on November 19th.

Papa Elf is proud to announce another full Holiday Season at The Battery and The Atlanta Braves' Truist Park! He will kick off the season with a major role in the annual Tree Lighting and Santa Arrival event on Saturday, November 26th. Papa Elf has been training Blooper, the Brave's mascot, to become an Elf and the event will be Blooper's debut.

If you live in the area, you don't want to miss it! But if you do, you can visit with Papa and take pictures on Saturdays through Christmas Eve.

The rain dampened the crowd at the Grange, (see what I did there), but I was able to lighten things up a little with some fire. I started the evening at Goldfinch and had a few very appreciative folks with kids. It is so cool when you can perform for one child and their parent at an easy pace with little interruption. That's how you turn kids into clowns for life. They never forget. bwa-hahaha.

I made my debut appearance at the new Grange yesterday afternoon before moving a block over to my regular dinner hour spot at Goldfinch Black Mountain. Kids at the Grange were super excited to have me. I taught a little juggling, but mime tight rope and umbrella were the big hits. Didn't grab any pictures, but if the weather keeps clearing up, I'll try again later. The Grange's footprint will be a game changer for our little mountain town. Stoked for sure.

Saturday at Sourwood in Black Mountain was a pretty great day. The Great Zukini was in fine form and some of the new juggling stances I've been working on this summer proved to be a hit. The best stuff though I think, was my new work with mime tight rope followed by some amazing mime tug of war with four kids. I'll be using them again on Saturday at LEAF, Down by the River, in Asheville.
