Walk Update! Due to severely inclement weather this year's Santa walk has been revised. With snow covered streets making it hard to walk for me with mobility issues and the extreme cold wreaking havoc with my COPD, I am forced to revise the route this year. I refuse to cancel and disappoint the little ones. The following is a compromise. The route remains the same, however I will walk down a few streets that over the years have have garnered alot of participation. The rest of the route will be driven slowly and at each intersection of the route, Santa will get out and greet children young and old, pose for pictures and my elf Kati will give out candy canes and reindeer food.
Streets I will walk entirely are Brady, Hayward, Drenters, Coker and Hampson. These will be the streets to walk with Santa. The rest of the route, have your little ones gathered in groups at any intersection along the route and Santa will stop there, get out and interact with the children.
Updates will still be given throughout the walk.
I hope this is a suitable compromise as opposed to canceling the walk entirely.
