Why do I love hybrid elopements so much? Let me paint the picture for you!

A hybrid elopement is simply a mix between an elopement and a wedding. This can be done in many different ways but my favorite way to plan a hybrid elopement is as follows…

Imagine spending your morning getting ready with your partner at an airbnb. Once you are ready we will head out to a local spring for personal vows before exploring the area for couples photos. What do I mean when I say I strive to create art?

Over the past year I have really focused on creating art and telling a story through photos, not just taking pictures for the hell of it. I believe, when you look back through your gallery you should be able to feel what you felt on your wedding day, and you should be able to look at your photos and love them forever.

✨Rachel & Collin's NC Destination Wedding✨

Rachel and Collin celebrated their marriage with their closest friends and family in the mountains of North Carolina. Rachel has been a long-term friend of my family for let's just estimate 18 years (I have known her before her now 16-year-old was even born, how crazy is that). Their wedding was held at the beautiful The Cove at Blackberry Fields in Weaverville North Carolina. Rachel and Collin described their wedding theme as a romantic secret garden ceremony with a house party vibe reception and must I say they executed this extremely well.

St. Augustine is not much of a hidden gem but there are some amazing places in St. Augustine that are beautiful for your elopement. Imagine, exchanging vows at sunrise along the riverside with the beautiful Castillo de San Marco fort in the background. After your vows we can grab some coffee at the Crucial Coffee Cafe and finally head to the Lightner Museum for some beautiful Courtyard portraits.

✨Danielle & Stefan's Vintage Backyard Intimate Wedding✨

Danielle and Stefan's backyard wedding was a whimsical and intimate affair that celebrated the love they shared with their closest family and friends. The couple's backyard was transformed into a vintage inspired magical wonderland, with sunray casting through the trees, beautiful purple florals, and a cozy seating area for guests to enjoy.

Danielle make a beautiful and meaningful gesture by recite her wedding vows in a language that is special and personal her partner. She chose to read her vows in Bulgarian, which is Stefan’s native language. This was a unique and personal way to express her love and commitment to her now husband. Hearing her vows in another language can add an extra layer of emotion and intimacy to the ceremony, making it even more special and memorable for the couple and their guests.

I first met Britani back in 2022 when I made my first trip up to NC for a styled shoot at Roan Mountain. Britani and I became friends quickly and a year later I had the pleasure to meet back up with Britani and Zach for their maternity photos at the Biltmore.

Once their little boy was born, Zach finally made the big move and proposed to Britani. Britani and I were already talking about engagement photos and her wedding before the day even happened so believe me once she told me he finally proposed I was so excited! We planned her engagement session at in downtown Waynesville. I cannot wait until their wedding in November and to show you all the amazing plans that are already in place!
