Did you know the meaning behind having an arch at your wedding? The arch itself is a symbol of the future home the bride and groom will start their family in. Arches in many cultures also suggest initiation and renewal. It can also symbolize life, a stage between the past, the present, and the future, and is a link between God and men. Walking through an archway represents the sloughing off of the old and moving into a new phase of life.
