Our Meet the Team Monday spotlight for this week is Tied Together’s most tenured employee, Lisa. As our Senior Assistant, who has been with us since nearly the beginning, she’s a true asset to the team. Take a look at her responses below and see if you can spot any themes about Lisa’s one true love 😎
1. What is your favorite wedding season and why? My all time favorite season is Summer all the way..Beautiful flowers, long nights, late sunsets, beach weddings and I just love being outside as much as I can and I think this makes for great picture settings as well!
2. A wedding song that always gets you on the dance floor? Any line dance song is fun to “join” the festivities: Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide, Cat Man Joe etc....
3. What flowers would you include in your dream bridal bouquet? Lilacs, hydrangeas, honeysuckle..love all those Summer feel good smells!
4. If you could learn any skill instantly, what would it be? I would love to sing...let me rephrase that I would love to carry a tune, you don’t want me at your wedding Karaoke! HAHAHA
5. What’s your favorite thing to bake or cook? I love cooking big family meals at Christmas and Thanksgiving for the family.

Today’s Meet the Team Monday feature is extra special, as we not only introduce you to another team member, but also celebrate a special milestone with her. Our wonderful Assistant Demetria joined us for her first wedding one year ago today! 🍾 We’ve had a blast getting to know her over this past year & today we invite you all to do the same with a few fun facts below:
1. What is your favorite wedding season and why? Spring weddings are my favorite because it’s not too hot and not too cold. Plus the flowers are blooming and look really good in outdoor photos.
2. If you could have any celebrity officiate a wedding, who would it be? Barack Obama or Idris Alba for their distinct voices and good looks LOL!
3. If you could attend a destination wedding anywhere in the world, where would it be? The Maldives, Phuket, Bora Bora (anywhere tropical with beautiful blue water in the background)
4. What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a long day? Having a nice glass of wine curled up on my couch
5. If you could have a front-row seat to any concert, which one would you choose? Usher or Rihanna

Next up on Meet the Team Monday is our Lead Day-of Coordinator (and occasional assistant) Rachael. Although she’s the newest member of our team, she brings over a decade of experience to Tied Together & her expertise does not go unnoticed by clients. Get to know Rachael below!
1. What flowers would you include in your dream bridal bouquet? Peonies are a must. I like bouquets that include hydrangeas as well.
2. Describe your favorite wedding style/theme. I absolutely love when minor details go into every single aspect of the wedding that ultimately create a beautifully aesthetic, cohesive atmosphere. For example, I love when a reception space is decorated from head to toe - with ceiling installations of pendant string lights and greenery, to tablescapes of chargers and elegant napkin folds with sprigs of thyme in them.
3. If you were a signature cocktail, what would your ingredients be? I’m not a big drinker! I’d honestly have a specialty coca-cola stand, with the ability to flavor your own soda and garnish with a cute red and white striped straw :)
4. What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a long day? I love eating late night leftovers and binge watching whichever show my boyfriend and I are into!
5. What’s your favorite thing to bake or cook? I love making my own version of Clams Casino! It’s like a delicious bacon/onion/bell pepper stuffing with minced clams. It is a family favorite that I’m always asked to bring to family gatherings.

1. What is your favorite wedding season and why? Summer. Warm, longer days mean more outdoor ceremonies/receptions, all the colors are in full bloom, and no one will be shivering in their dresses!
2. A wedding song that always gets you on the dance floor? “Dance with Somebody” by the one and only Whitney Houston
3. If you could have any celebrity officiate a wedding, who would it be? Either Morgan Freeman for his bellowing voice “...as they embarked on this journey called marriage..” or Steve Carell for his comedic genius
4. If you could have any type of pet (real or imaginary), what would it be and what would you name it? A fennec fox named Poppy, Ivy, or Hazel
5. What’s your favorite local spot to grab a bite to eat? For Japanese, Hachi in Chalfont. For Mexican, Mi Mex Cocina in Colmar

✨ Wedding Tip Wednesday ✨
When it comes to morning of prep, it is not uncommon for getting ready to take longer than you think, so it is always advisable to add in some buffer time for this portion of the day.
Our recommendation is to always allot at least 15 extra minutes prior to your actual departure time from the getting ready location (or room if you’re getting ready on site at the venue)! This will allow everyone time to gather what they need, use the restroom, hydrate & whatever else needs to be done, without the stress of time constrains. And if by chance, nothing goes off track from a timing perspective, you and your friends & family will have a chance to just breathe before the craziness of the day truly begins!

💕 Testimonial Tuesday 💕
Victoria & Shawn had every bit of confidence in their event team at but with 2 separate getting ready locations, an off-site ceremony & transportation logistics across state lines they knew they needed some assistance.
Our “morning of” package allowed them & their families to relax and enjoy themselves, knowing that every detail was being taken care of.

Considering having a signature drink? Don’t overthink it; stick with something simple! Doing so will help to alleviate long bar lines & keep your guests on the dance floor where they belong 💃🏼 (your bartenders may even be able to prebatch simple recipes, further cutting wait times!)
You can always give the drinks fun names to jazz it up a bit. Creative signature drink names are also just another way to inject some personalization into your day so it’s a win win!

✨ Wedding Tip Wednesday ✨
Don’t stress yourself out over the weather forecast for your wedding day! It’s unpredictable & is likely to change constantly in the days and even hours leading up to your ceremony.
We experienced this first hand last Fall at The Barn at Walnut Grove. The weather alternated between overcast and rain all morning; in fact, it was still drizzling as we directed guests onto the shuttle for ceremony. But the bride had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony (can you blame her with this view 😍) so we decided to go for it, and boy are we glad we did!
