What a wonderful day to celebrate community!

Thanks to your support we packed 4500 lunchbags filled with community made sandwiches, handwritten notes including 300 bento boxes (a FIRST!) for 10 community organizations around Los Angeles.

What we did in a day is the work that these organizations do year round. And we encourage you to keep the spirit of volunteering going by reaching out to your local community organizations to learn ways you can keep giving back year round in 2024.

A very big thank you to the over 500 community members that collectively kicked off the holiday season with us this year, generously donating time and energy to give back together. The energy was amazing, and we look forward to welcoming you back again next year to an even more memorable UPRISERS Family Drive.

⏰ Please show up for your breakout session 15-20 minutes before its start time to ensure a smooth check-in process. Check-in is at our UPRISERS info booths located at the entrance of each session area. Sessions are completely full. Out of respect to our guest speakers you will not be able to enter a session after it has begun.

"The UPRISERS’ message of giving back through UPRISERS Family Drive really resonates me. The AFM brand was built off of my real life story of being in foster care. I have used my brand as a platform to help my community through speaking with kids who are dealing with the same issues as I did coming from foster care. In my experience, people who are currently in the system or people who have aged out of the foster care system do not all have equal opportunities. Some are less fortunate depending on the household that they were placed in, and if they were adopted at all. Many kids leave the foster care system and become lost, not knowing where to find support or help. What UPRISERS is providing is an amazing resource for people who need help." -

We are so grateful to for hosting one of our breakout sessions at Family Drive this year!

Changing Tides Program Coordinator and CT Podcast host, Matthew Yonemura, will conduct multiple short interviews LIVE at Family Drive with community leaders and volunteers. They'll be sharing stories of community and mental health to create awareness on the importance of reflection in safe community spaces.

Last year we launched UPRISERS Family Drive, a one day celebration of community for our friends and family to give back together. 400+ volunteer contributed their time and care to pack 1500 lunchbags and 500 hygiene kits, and donate over 1000+ pieces of apparel to communities in need with our community partner - We are so grateful for our community!

And thanks to our friends at we collaborated with 10 streetwear brands to raise over $50,000 to continue support of 's amazing work all year long.

Your generosity inspired us to turn this into an annual event!

*SOLD OUT* After Party featuring artist’s Su Lee and Hollis!
Want to come out still? We are giving away the wristbands during tonight’s Family Market event from 5-10pm. Find and she will hand a wristband out to the first 10. GL.

Su Lee () is a South Korean musician who gained traction after posting “I’ll Just Dance”, a song based upon what her “mental breakdown” would sound like. She also hosts a podcast where she discusses mental health, music, and art.

Hollis () is a recording artist and filmmaker inspired by the power of art to catalyze social change. Her debut solo album Subliminal embraces the themes of angst, transformation, healing and collective action.

After a day of volunteering, supporting, and donating, we wanted to end the night and celebrate with YOU! We’re so thankful to every single one of you that interacted, rsvp’d, and spread the word. We couldn’t have reached and exceeded our goal of 300+ volunteers without your actions. This just makes us even more excited to host events like this in the future and to keep giving back to this wholesome community.

Who's ready to jam out to some tunes while we volunteer this Saturday, December 3rd?! Thanks to DJ Ricky Norona () and DJ Kyle Woods (), they'll be taking care of our ears as we give back to the community. Our Family Drive wouldn't be complete without a creative ambience so check out below to see when they're performing!

🎁 11-3pm We have DJ Ricky Norona () playing during our Volunteer hours. Ricky Norona developed his distinctive style of fusing vintage hip hop and R&B with contemporary popular music starting when he was a young child with the help of his father's vinyl collection and a love for a variety of styles. From nightclubs to radio stations, he's found great success mixing modern sounds with older tunes, paying homage to musical icons.

🎁 5pm-10pm DJ Kyle Woods () will be playing during our Family Market. He's traveled all over the world so it's an honor to have him stop by in LA and support our Family Drive! Raised on house music, disco, and rock, he was able to expand his music using RnB and Afrobeats as he grew older. He became the resident DJ for Solange and her brand Saint Heron in 2015!
