This is a Justin Alexander dress called Adeline; I purchased the dress from Mon Amie Bridal Salon in Costa Mesa and had the wonderful seamstresses add the sleeves to the gown. The sleeves were made by the Justin Alexander team and sent to the salon for attachment.

Being tall, I worried about how easy it would be to find a dress that suits me. I didn’t want a tight-fitting dress as I knew I’d want to dance and not feel restricted on the day. I was surprised that many of the dress shops only had small sizes – I’m a 10-12, but many of them only had 8’s to try on.

It was quite difficult for me to find my dress. I have a very petite and slim frame and has scoliosis surgery previously that left me with some scars on my back. I was very lucky in that I found my wedding dress after searching online as a rental. I was able to buy the rental for $500 and it required very minor alterations. I absolutely loved the floral and bead details on my dress. It stood out from all the other dresses I tried on. It truly made me feel beautiful on my special day.

Once I got engaged to the love of my life, I went on the search for a dress that would shout ME!! For it to really speak to my personality, I knew that it was going to have to have a boho vibe. I wanted unique, timeless, and overall I just wanted to feel beautiful. This dress, with its lace detail and subtle glimmer from the gemstones couldn't have been any better. It was so unique and breath-taking. My daughters came with me to my fitting and from the look in their eyes when I put it on to the most incredible feeling it gave me being in it; there was no doubt this was the perfect dress! I would wear it everyday, if I could.
