Well that was one for the books....I'm still stoked on the weekend show at the North Star Bar, I haven't done a 10 hour DJ shift in probably a decade at least! I suppose I got a little Karma by poking fun (good naturedly) about the fact I'd be going up against Luke Bryan, and that you would probably not hear much country in my playlist as a result. But then the concert gets canceled, and a sea of flannel and cowboy hats descended on the Star and I end up playing more Country than I ever have! Apologies to my regulars, but sometimes ya gotta read the room. I'll say this about the crowd on Saturday, they came to PARTY! Special thanks to Maelene Tjepkes for being a kickass co-pilot for a good chunk of those 10 hours too! I'll leave you with the only video I got of the night. This is the crowd at 10, they'd already been dancing since 6....
