For those who have asked for a way to help out the family with monetary gifts, we have created a Venmo for the Gumz’s family expenses.

If one does not have a Venmo account and would still like to give a gift we kindly ask for Target gift cards.

If one does not like to go to Target, and would still like to give a gift, monetary gifts can be drop off at any equitable bank or mailed into the bank (use the main bank address below) with the note “Gumz Family Fund”.

Heidi was admitted to the hospital on Monday, August 30. First to Neurology and then SICU. She was having absent seizures or focal seizures in her brain, possibly because of swelling from radiation or more likely the cancer itself. Unfortunately, the medications did not stop the seizures. Her team of doctors and family decided it was best to make her comfortable.

Heidi entered hospice care Tuesday night, August 31. She was occasionally alert enough to interact with family and her beloved kids, but unable to speak very long or in complete sentences. Throughout the week she was surrounded by close family, well wishes, and an outpouring of love.

On Wednesday morning, September 8, she took her last breathe and peacefully passed to be restored with her Lord and Savior.

We ask that you respect the family and give them the space to grieve and process at this time.

We will all love and miss Heidi. We lost a great friend. This page is dedicated to celebrating the life of Heidi Jo. We welcome you to share any special thoughts, pictures, or memories of Heidi here. If you have any fun photos you can add them to the Google Drive Folder in the link below. Photo submissions will be shown at her Celebration of Life Party.
