This is one of my favorite times for wedding day! The happy couple can unwind, release the stress and have a blast with friends!

However, this one is a lil bitter sweet. It's the last wedding of 2024 and I didn't get to close out the year with the hubs behind the DJ booth! That's never happened before and I dearly miss him with me! I adore my other two DJs and they do a fantastic job but there's nothing like having my home-base with me!

More content to come! It was a perfect day!🫶🏽

When I married Mr. Carter, my girl Lauren, and I made the bouquets and boutonnieres. I paid more for the magnets to hold the shotgun shell boutonnieres on then I did for the actual flowers!! 🤦‍♀️
I meant those things were staying upright and ON!!!

For reasons I won't go into, this is by far one of my most favorite photos!

My A1 from day one coordinated this wedding while I helped Mikayla navigate the planning process prior to!
It's always harder than I expect to turn a bride's day over to one of my coordinators even though I know they are in amazing hands!

One thing I absolutely love about this industry is the bond that's built during planning.
Some of "my girls" keep in contact with texts, an occasional lunch date etc. I love seeing their new lives, with their hubbies, take shape and grow in love!
I'm on the sidelines cheering each of them on! I've cried when babies were born, babies & family members were lost, prayed for their hearts through their happiest and saddest times!
Wedding day is always bitter sweet to me. I spend 12-24 months in constant contact with these girls! Wedding day is the "Super Bowl" and then the season of our relationship shifts. Life moves forward and while I never forget them, I do miss chatting with them regularly!

When I tell y'all I get it...I get it! Lol

This was our Drop The Mic Productions trailer loaded down for my son's wedding 3 years ago at Sacred Heart! The Tahoe was also loadedddd down too!

We moved into the Hyatt and took over downtown lol and I don't regret a minute of it!

I've seen Uhauls used, family vans, trucks & trailers...you've gotta do what you've gotta do!

The absolute worst part is packing it all up to take it home and then unload again to figure out what to do with it all!!

DIY can save you money but it will cost you time and energy!
Professional vendors may add a bit of cost but most clean up, decor etc is done for you!
Both are great options...just depends on you, your budget and your time 🤍
