Happy New Year friends & followers! I've had a handful of new faces around here as of late, so I thought I'd do a little intro👋🏻
My name is Natalie, the face, hands, and driving force behind Salty Chef Productions. I've been cooking most of my life, professionally for about a decade. My family and I PCSd from California in March of 2021, and so far have been enjoying the East Coast. I am originally from Southern California, so it's been a pretty big change.
I've worked in various types of kitchens including bakeries, a cooking school, and multiple restaurants. Before leaving California, I had landed my dream job working with a local brewery to open their first Brewpub. I was the head chef for 2+ years. It was incredibly rewarding and equally trying. Having spent a year of that time working during the pandemic, I knew I needed a break from industry life when we moved. But I had no idea what my next chapter would be. I was almost immediately restless after moving into our home and I had to do something to stay busy. So SCP was born! It has grown beyond anything I ever anticipated, and I'm learning SO much. I'm able to do what I love and still have time for my family and for myself. I hope to take some courses in culinary nutrition later this year, and eventually grow my business from there. Endlessly grateful for this community and all the support 🙏
