Amaryllis aren't just Holiday flowers - they're WINTER flowers!

Dutch amaryllis bulbs hold their quality well into the winter months, and not only are we still selling, but we've just added MORE exciting new varieties to the shop!

We've got two varieties that are new to the US market this season: 'Pink Amazon' and 'Red Amazon'! Their fabulous sister 'Wild Amazon' has been around a few years, and we've got her too, so you can enjoy the entire Amazon series. These blooms are in the butterfly class, whose petals are narrower than on regular blooms but a bit wider than those in the cybister group. These varieties are very floriferous, with loads of beautiful star-shaped blossoms.

We've also added 'Lemon Cream', a recent addition to the market. She's a large flowering variety with pale yellow blooms that have a maroon picotee, and sweet ruffled edges.

Lastly we've added an old favorite, 'Gervase' (aka 'Fantasy'). She's a party in every bloom, with bold red markings that appear anywhere from subtle to POW! Every bloom is different, so she's a lot of fun to grow!

Southern hemisphere bulbs are nearing the end of their season, so we've also discounted all the Hadeco South African bulbs in the shop by 15%. That includes potted bulbs! And we're still offering free shipping on orders over $100.

Amaryllis 'Dragonfly'

Palest green, with maroon brush strokes. Look at the curves and ruffles on those petals! A perfect name, as she's as delicate and intricate as a dragonfly's wing.

Amaryllis 'Red Cream' (formerly 'Red Queen')

Photos can't convey how mesmerizing the color is on this beauty. It's the richest, deepest, most lush red you could imagine. Iridescent velvet, in shades from bright cardinal to deep burgundy. And on some of the largest blooms we've seen.

Sonatini amaryllis 'Thai Thai' has a delightful way of blooming! Her petal tips stay fused for an extended period, causing the growing buds to balloon out before popping open fully. Her wild wavy blooms are a soft creamy peach color.⁠

For something a little different, this jumbo amaryllis bulb is covered in a layer of dried calendula petals! It’s not only stunning, but couldn’t be easier to grow. The bulb contains all the necessary moisture and energy it needs to bloom, and the covering seals it in. Just set it in a spot with indirect light and it will do its thing, sending up 2-3 stalks of ivory colored amaryllis blooms.
