ABOUT OFW'S COMING BACK TO SAUDI ARABIA, THE KINGDOM THAT RESIDENTS AND EXPATS WITH-RE-ENTRY-RE-ENTRY VISA, WORK PERMIT, IZAMA / RESIDENCE PERMIT , OR VISIT VISA

QUESTION: Can I verify POLO-Jeddah or POLO-Riyadh of documents / employment contract of OFWs? (meaning, OFWs who will be hired just now in Saudi)
ANSWER: Not yet. Secretary of Labor has a standing order that verification of documents / new employment contracts will remain suspended ′′ until learn orders." Because of this, POLO-JEDDAH and POLO-RIYADH are still not verfying new now contract. They will only do it when there is a go signal from the Secretary of Labor.
QUESTION: Tekla is a staff nurse in a hospital in Jeddah. His contract is about to end but he wants to renew and after that he will go on vacation in the Philippines. Won't he have trouble when he returns to Saudi?
ANSWER: According to POLO-Jeddah, Tekla is still covered by POEA's suspension order. This means POLO-Jeddah cannot verify his new employment contract now. If he doesn't have a verified employment contract shown in the Philippines, OEC may not be advised because OEC requirement is verified employment contract. If he doesn't have OEC, he can't go back to Saudi.
QUESTION: How about back-workers and those stranded in the Philippines due to the COVID-19 pandemic? Can they go back to Saudi?
ANSWER: POEA may give them OEC to return to Saudi if they hold or show a ′′ perfect employment contract ′′ before the August 31 deadline that the Secretary of Labor has been dropped. ′′ perfect ′′ means ′′
