fun fact : you don’t have to come up with a wedding hashtag in order for people to be able to post pictures from your wedding • although wedding hashtags are very common these days, they are definitely not necessary! if it is going to be difficult to come up with one or it is going to stress you out during the planning process, just don’t have one! i promise it will not make that big of a difference on social media!

You still get the intimate moment before the ceremony BUT you won’t be actually seeing each other until you’re walking down the aisle. You can take this time to read letters or pray over the ceremony and your marriage!

Just like everything else wedding related, favors can be costly. Favors are traditionally meant to be a “thank you” for your guests. Think about it, you’re already paying for your guests to eat, drink, and party!

Before spending a pretty penny on fancy favors, keep in mind that many guests do not even take a favor with them. If they do grab one, the chances of the favors actually making it to the car with the guest is slim.

In order to give yourself a like more wiggle room in the budget, try opting for something your guests will actually enjoy such as a snack to take with them! I promise, your guests will not think twice about it!!👏🏻

Hi there! I am Ivey Hampton Jones, the heart and soul behind Events by Ivey. I am 25 years old and am married to the man of my dreams, Austin. I am from the Atlanta area but we live in Alabama at the moment. We also have 2 beautiful golden retriever pups who keep us busy!

I am currently working as a dental hygienist but I have been in and out of the wedding industry for many years. I became an accredited/certified wedding and event planner in 2014. I worked for about 4 years at a very well known bridal shop. During my time there, I was able to help brides with anything and everything. From picking the dream dress, to figuring out what colors the bridesmaids should wear and actually styling the bridal party, I was able to be included in many decisions throughout the planning process.

I have always had a passion for all things wedding and after being a bride myself, I know how stressful and overwhelming the whole planning process can be. That’s where I come in! Tell me your vision and I will do everything I possibly can to make it happen within your budget! From just giving direction and helping nail down vendors to full-on planning and day-of coordination, I am here and happy to help!

Although I do specialize in weddings, I have planned multiple events including showers, awards ceremonies, birthdays, etc. I am super organized, detail oriented, passionate, and determined so I am confident I can plan your future events!
