Sugar SHACK 🍁
Sugar shacks are where sap is collected from maple trees and is boiled into maple syrup. They have been around for many generations.
I don’t know but it feel like the time for a Maple Bourbon Cocktail. 🥃 (some of our favs are in our stories/highlights) 🤗

What an honor it is to highlight this wine! 🤩
Vindiou [ ] was started by Thomas and Cyprien from France, both whom I met while working in Chile!!
This summer I was able to visit a bottle shop in France [ ] where I picked up a couple bottles for the road. Yes I shoved them in my suitcase to bring home! 🙊
This Cinsault is a beautiful red wine from the Rhône valley. A medium- light bodied wine. Whole cluster fermented, foot stomped (yes it’s true), hand pressed and fermented with their own yeasts. Encompassed with great acidity and notes of violet, raspberry, spice, and everything nice.
Not sold in the USA, yet!! I am already planning next summer to visit to taste their latest project in person. Who is joining!?

The bread just came out of the oven. The morning light is peeking through the fall changing leaves. It is 38°F outside, but the smell of fresh coffee and fresh bread could never feel so warm and cozy inside.

“Bodegas Ysios" (Ysios Winery) in La Rioja, Spain.
What a lovely visit to this summer to enjoy the architecture and the wine! They are now well under way harvesting grapes for the 2023 Vintage.
The incredible winery was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.

Cider in Spain 🇪🇸🍎
A fun, old tradition tasting at a ‘Cider House’ in Spain’s Basque Country.
An incredible experience getting to taste directly from the barrels throughout a wonderful dining experience. Delicious cider paired well with a few basque favorites including: the salt cod omelette, grilled hake, chuleta (t-bone steak), bread, cheese and walnuts. 🤌🏼
A wonderful memory and experience getting to share, community style, dinner and cider tasting. 🤩

Spanish Red 😍🍷
Ribeiro is a wine region in northern Spain, west of Rioja and just above Portugal.
This is a fun wine made up of a blend of four different grape varietals. Brancellao, Caiño Redondo, Caiño Longo, and Ferrol. How about those grape names 😮
A nice light body wine with delightful acidity pairs nicely with with game, red sauce, and braised food. Aka can’t go wrong!

FRESH BREAD 🍞
Took a little baking hiatus but we are back baby! ✨ baking is a wonderful stress relief and often humbling as the more I learn, the more I know I don’t know 🤓

Flows like water ☔️ 😋
We love the rain, but we love this wine even more.
This 2020 Honeymoon 🍯🌙 makes us feel like we are off in Europe where wine flows like water and love is in the air.
A wonderful California White Blend of Colombard, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay 🤌🏼
Notes of melon and herbs, with fantastic acidity to keep us happy!

Spring in Germany👏🏼👌🏼☀️
This is a vineyard along the “Main River” in Würzburg. The Main is the longest tributary of the Rhine. Labor intensive slopes to work on but they sure do provide beautiful views!

Farmers Market Season 👩🏽🌾 😍
This wonderful fruit market was in Hawaii on the big island. We were having lunch at a picnic table and a family from Canada asked, “are you going to the market” unsure of what market we all paused…they quickly informed us the only reason to come to Hilo is the weekly market!!
Now we get it. 🍍🥭🍌🍊
