Announcing Celebrate AMERI'KANA Music and Arts Festival at UC San Diego on August 24—featuring Grammy Award Winning Los Texmaniacs and Gaby Moreno, Making Movies, Renee Goust, AMERI’KANA All Stars, and more.

This family-friendly celebration is a "living love letter to the Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and Latino heroes of American music," (Making Movies) showcasing the diversity and cross-pollinated nature of American music. Celebrate AMERI’KANA aims to tell the American music origin story by bringing uniquely North American sounds like NYC salsa and San Antonio Tejano together to share the stage with traditional Americana genres like blues and soul, bluegrass, jazz, and rock and roll.

The festival will feature local DJs, musicians, food vendors and artists curated by El Callejon
