We are creating a data base of performers who would like to work with us semi-regularily from the end of 2023 (mainly for performance & club nights).

Looking only for performers who are lgbt+, working class, and/or bipoc.

Drop your address email and a baby introduction 💕 We will share with you all our call for performers and hopefully start to work together soon.

Note that we are a low (kinda no) budget organization, and therefore don't cover transportation fees. We also want to prioritize collaborations with people based near by (as long as you are in the Netherlands you will be somehow near a Squish event).

Exceptionally, we are organising an event without having all necessary funds to compensate artists fairly, and that's why we need help from our community.

🌼Welcome to Squish Movie Camp - Crisp edition, the hottest open air cinema in town💦

Running every weekend of August at , the festival celebrates [q***r] love, bodies, relationships, s🌸xuality and politics.

Each of the four nights have been curated around a specific theme, which are Tenderness, Spicy experiments, Body Politics, Romance drops.

With an international programme of movies from more than 30 different artists, Squish selected various films of many genres (animation, documentary, short and future length) sharing diverse q***r-feminist perspectives and singular visual identities. Our programme is mainly made of independent films premiering in the Netherlands for the occasion.

Last but not the least: a lot of things will be happening during the movie nights, such as tattoo bars, live music, pop-up s🌸x positive shops, and an exhibition.

Conceived as a feel-good celebration moment, this SMC edition will stimulate you in many ways, hopefully giving you a lot of strength, tenderness and brain food for the faraway autumn times. As the sun sets along the water, come and sit with your loved ones or hot ones, to be delighted by our film selection (and possibly a dinner from the restaurant).

***r.rotterdam is organising 3 private events in .rotterdam 's exhibition space during their festival "Creating Homes" at , and will have a cute merch table during the club night on the 16th.

Tickets are free but limited, also these 3 events are for the q***r community only.

Taal café:
Are you trying to learn Dutch? Do you struggle to say things like “wentelteefje“? Then our Taal cafe is for you! We will have Dutch-speaking volunteers that have all the patience in the world to have a nice conversation with Dutch learners of all levels.

Connectivity event:
Q***r Rotterdam has started a series of Connectivity Events in which you can get more in touch with your own senses, the space around you and connecting with other people.
Through guided exercises we want to help you feel more comfortable with being close to people that you may have never met before. We will focus on eye contact, communicating feelings and vulnerability through non verbal and verbal communication and also on physical touch.

Boardgame night:
While they are usually hosted in the QR location ('The Hole'), biweekly on Wednesdays, this time its hosted together with Squish!
Get ready for an evening of q***r friends, snacks and many, many boardgames.
We will provide a selection of great games, but feel free to bring your favourite!

About ***r_xx : Hi hi, I'm Sam, a nonbinary leather worker who's biggest interest lies in making nerdy stuff. I make dice bags and covers for dnd books but also harnesses on request. I love making jewelry aswel and am happy to see what I could possibly make for you.
I try to be as size inclusive as I can be and love to give back to the community where I can. You can contact me on Instagram for any work related stuff.

About : Geo Barcan is a q***r Romanian visual artist and writer. In her work, Geo engages with multiple mediums such as filmmaking, design, installation art, writing, web-based art, and performance.
She weaves ecological thought and vegetality with media theory in her research, speculating on ways in which technology and nature can non-destructively co-exist. She is also interested in the internet's and new media's transformative impact on different communities. In 2022, she wrote Kid of the Internet (Onomatopee), an autofictional collection of visual and written essays about the evolution of the internet in the early 2000s in Romania.

Stiofan O’Ceallaigh is a multimedia artist and curator born in Ireland. Currently exhibiting between the USA and Europe, O’Ceallaigh’s focus is an exploration of the understanding of a q***r aesthetic, if indeed there is one. A personal journey and an acknowledgement of flux, O’Ceallaigh’s work seeks to emancipate those who know it by promoting discourse around areas such as HIV, censorship, mental health, biography, (be)longing, (in)visibility, (im)possibilities, internalised shame/stigma>pride, and fundamentally, an effort to reduce hate in all its forms. In 2016, he established the q***r art project Balaclava.Q, a not-for-profit that strategically functions to connect, promote, and create platforms for LGBTQ+ artists globally by devising and producing curatorial projects.
