I've been telling stories since I was a little kid, but I had no idea that I had a gift for storytelling until my sophomore year in high school when my English teacher, Miss. Trotter, opened my eyes to the craft and gave me the confidence to pursue it as a career. Many of you may know me for my work in film and television, and also for my series of adventure stories for kids, but you may not know that I have a passion for music and writing songs. Over the years I've written songs for some of my films and a slew of jingles for many television commercials, but what I truly love is writing songs inspired by stories that one day could be recorded and distributed to the public.
My dad had a gift for songwriting so maybe some of his talent was passed down to me, so I finally decided to take it seriously and started working on a songbook this year.
