Actually, the term 'Beginner’s mind' is translated from the original word, Shoshin — a term rooted in Zen Buddhism. It implies looking at every situation as if it's the first time you've encountered it. Interesting stuff!

Try to make a hotel stay feel like a great-grandma's hug!
This revelation comes from Danish designer Johannes Torpe, one of the cool speakers at The Lobby 2023.

Torpe, the founder of Johannes Torpe Studios, is an autodidact architect, industrial designer, lighting designer, graphic artist, and professional drummer. He has challenged the hospitality industry with projects like the award-winning Red Mountain Resort in Iceland.

According to Johannes, the future of hospitality lies in the importance of capturing moments and facilitating experiences rather than chasing the latest technological inventions.
