Another tribute to a loved one who has passed.

The direction for these pieces was lots of colour, fullness and NO FLORAL FOAM.

It may have taken a little extra time and planning but I was grateful for the challenge (and so, so extra grateful to other foam free artists who have accessible resources to the public). I've been studying foam free mechanics for awhile so it was nice to finally put it to the test!

These sympathy arrangements were made for someone who loved bright colours and carnations but also a nod to their Scottish heritage.

Whenever I design something to celebrate a life, I always try to do my research and incorporate a little bit about that person in the arrangement (while also considering the input of the family).

As always, I appreciate the trust in creating something meaningful to remember them by! ❤️

💖 CEREMONY FLOWERS 💖

Probably in the past decade or so, floral arches/arbours have become a steady trend in most wedding ceremonies these days. Much to the surprise of some, these eye catching focal points have been around since ancient times!

Back in the day, a floral archway symbolized a passageway towards a new phase of life (ie: the transition from betrothal to marriage). So it makes sense that we would keep that symbolism going in a newer, modern way!

I do love creating an archway paired with some ancient metaphorical meaning these days! 😀
