Maybe someday I’ll tell the whole story of how I ended up here, but this account is pivoting. Mostly, I’ll be sharing the one thing that has always held my attention - my home, the way it feels and looks. A little more of me, my newish, builder grade, cookie cutter house that I’m filling with character & warmth & a ton of old s**t. I’ve got a blank slate, great light, wonderful layout, tall ceilings, and my creativity on my side. Thrifted & Marketplace finds, furniture restoration, DIYs big & small, high end design inspiration and my budget friendly solutions- this is my next right step.

What are your favorite holiday traditions? Anything you’re deciding to skip this year?

I have been really soaking the holidays up, and for me, that means less Instagram more decorating, more baking, more games. It’s hard for me to shut my brain off, especially with all the ideas and projects im working on for next year - but I know it’s crucial to avoid burnout. So I’m also ditching the holiday to-dos that don’t feel good or important to me.
•No holiday lights outside for us, I have battery powered lights in each window and I love the glow it gives inside & out, it’s also very easy lol.
•It felt like too much to do cards this year, so instead we’ll be hand delivering homemade treats to our close friends, family & Kevins awesome coworkers.
•I love to decorate for the holidays, but I also haven’t bought anything new in a few years and my style has shifted quite a bit. So I’m selling/donating a lot that I don’t love, updating some things with spray paint, and will hopefully snag a few specific items after the holidays when it’s all on sale.

I’d love to hear how you soak up the holidays with your family, what traditions bring you joy? Anything you decided to skip this year?

What are you most excited for in the coming months?

I’ve spent a lot of this year refocusing on what is important to me. Reevaluating pretty much everything. One of the biggest themes for me is to be present and in the moment even if my brain wants to constantly be working and thinking ahead.

So while I am doing just that, soaking in all the moments of togetherness & game playing & just watching my little boy be - I am also excited for what’s to come.
