Long ago, when the universe was still in chaos, Lord Brahma, the creator, was troubled. Though he had shaped the world, there was no order, no melody, and no knowledge. The universe remained in darkness, devoid of wisdom.

Seeking a solution, he closed his eyes and meditated deeply. From his divine thoughts emerged a radiant goddess, draped in white, holding a veena in her hands, radiating wisdom and purity. She was **Maa Saraswati**, the goddess of knowledge, music, and wisdom.

As soon as she played her veena, the world transformed. The celestial bodies found their rhythm, rivers began to flow in harmony, and all living beings received the gift of intelligence and speech. She gifted language to mankind, music to the world, and wisdom to seekers.

Maa Saraswati symbolizes the power of knowledge, showing us that true enlightenment comes not from wealth but from learning and wisdom. She rides the swan, signifying purity and the ability to distinguish right from wrong.

On **Saraswati Puja**, devotees worship her, seeking her blessings to gain intelligence, creativity, and wisdom. She reminds us that knowledge is the true wealth that never fades but only grows when shared.

"সুভাষ বলেছিলেন, ‘তোমরা আমাকে রক্ত দাও, আমি তোমাদের স্বাধীনতা দেব।” কিন্তু সে রক্ত হিন্দু না মুসলিম নাকি শিখের তা তিনি দেখেননি। দেশ নায়কের এমন মনোভাব হওয়াটাই স্বাভাবিক। উপরোক্ত ঘটনা ১৯৪৩ সালের শেষের দিকের। নেতাজী তখন সিঙ্গাপুরে। সেখানে ব্রিজলাল জয়সোয়াল তাঁর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এলেন। এই ব্রিজলাল ছিলেন সিঙ্গাপুরের অত্যন্ত ধনী এক ব্যবসায়ী। পারিবারিক ব্যবসা সিঙ্গাপুরেই। গুজরাতি ব্যবসায়ীর সিঙ্গাপুরের চেট্টিয়ায় একটি মন্দিরও রয়েছে। তিনি আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজের ফান্ডে অর্থদান করতে চাইলেন। নানা কথোপকথনের পর নেতাজী ব্রিজলালকে বলেন, “আপনি সিঙ্গাপুরের ধনীদের মধ্যে অন্যতম। দেশের মাটির মানুষের সাহায্যে আপনি সাহায্য করবেন। আপনাদের মতো মানুষরাই তো আদর্শ স্থাপন করবেন। তা দানটা কি আপনি করবেন, নাকি চেট্টিয়ার মন্দির কর্তৃপক্ষ করবে?”

ব্যবসায়ী বলেছিলেন, দানটা চেট্টিয়ার মন্দির কর্তৃপক্ষ করবে কিন্তু তাঁর একটা আবদার রয়েছে। কি সেই আবদার? নেতাজীকে তিনি বলেন, তিনি যদি অনুগ্রহ করে তাঁদের মন্দিরে পদধূলি দেন তাহলে সেখানেই তাঁরা তাঁদের অনুদান হস্তান্তরিত করবেন। এমন হলে তাঁরা ধন্য হয়ে যাবেন।

এই প্রসঙ্গেই নেতাজীর উত্তর ছিল, “মন্দিরে আমি পদধূলি দেব কেমন করে ? ভক্তদের পদধূলি তো মাথায় তুলে নিতে যাব। আপনি শুনে থাকবেন আমি মাঝেমাঝেই রামকৃষ্ণ মিশনে যাই। কিন্তু সেটা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে, সুভাষ বোস হিসাবে। কিন্তু আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজের সর্বাধিনায়ক হিসাবে কোনও ধর্মীয় সম্প্রদায়ের মন্দিরে যাওয়া তো সম্ভব নয়।” ব্যবসায়ী জিজ্ঞাসা করেছিলেন, “ কেন নয়, নেতাজী? আপনি তো হিন্দু?।” নেতাজীর সাফ উত্তর, “না। ‘সুভাষ বোস’ হিন্দু। ‘নেতাজী’ শুধুমাত্র ভারতীয়।”

এরপরের কথোপকথন অনেকটা এমন ছিল ,

ব্রিজলাল – তাহলে সুভাষ বোস হিসাবেই আসুন আপনি।
নেতাজী – যাব তবে ফৌজি পোশাকে নয়। আর তখন টাকাটাও নিতে পারব না আমি। তাতে যদি রাজি থাকেন তাহলে আসতে পারি। তাছাড়া না।

মাথা নিচু করে উঠে গিয়েছিলেন ব্রিজলাল জয়সোয়াল। এর অর্থ, অনুদান আর পাওয়া যাবে না। নেতাজী সহযোদ্ধাদের বলেছিলেন, “তোমাদের নেতাজীর বিবেকের দাম টাকার চেয়ে বেশী।”

পরদিনই আবার ফিরে এলেন ব্রিজলাল। সঙ্গে মন্দির কমিটির আরও জনা ছয়েক কর্মকর্তা। সবাই এসে নেতাজীকে নিমন্ত্রণ করে নিয়ে যেতে চান বলে জানান। নেতাজী বলেন, তাঁর মুসলমান ,খ্রিস্টান বন্ধুরাও তাঁর সঙ্গে যাবে। ব্রিজলাল কোনোকিছুতেই না করেননি। শুধু বলেছিলেন, “নেতাজী, মায়ের চোখে মুসলমান নন, খ্রিস্টানও নন, ওরা বন্দিনী মায়ের মুক্তিযোদ্ধা। আমরা ফুল দিয়ে অর্ঘ্য দি, ওনারা বুকের রক্ত দিয়ে অর্ঘ্য দেন। ওঁরা আরও বড় জাতের ভক্ত।”

এরপর নেতাজীর আদর্শে ২০০ বছরের পুরনো সংস্কারকে ছিন্নভিন্ন করে সিঙ্গাপুরে চেট্টিয়া মন্দিরের দ্বার সাধারণ ভারতবাসীর জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেওয়া হয়েছিল। সিঁড়ির ধাপের পাশে নেতাজী খুলে রাখলেন তার মিলিটারি টপবুট। দেখাদেখি নগ্নপদ হলেন নিষ্ঠাবান খ্রিস্টান আইয়ার, ধার্মিক মুসলমান কিয়ানি আর হবিবুর রহমান। মন্দিরের পুরোহিত প্রত্যেকের কপালে একে দিলেন হোমশিখার জয়তিলক। নেতাজীর দেখাদেখি ওরা করযুক্ত করে দেবীপ্রণাম করলেন। সমবেত কণ্ঠে ধ্বনি উঠল ‘জয় হিন্দ’।"

আজকের ভারতের এই সব মেকি ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ দলগুলোকে দিয়ে নেতাজির মত বিশাল ব্যক্তিত্বকে পরিমাপ করা অসম্ভব। এরকম মাপের নেতা ভারতে কখনো আসেন নি, ভবিষ্যতেও আসবেন বলে মনে হয় না।
মনে রাখতে হবে সুভাষ আছেন, যদি আমরা তার আদর্শ মনে রাখি, তাহলে আমরা প্রত্যেকে এক একটি সুভাষ।
