We’ve managed to get the inside scoop on an already busy GNFL trade period with Jayden and Kimmy promised some acres on the valley farm and a small share of the nabawa tavern. Jayden recently returning from Jason Johannisens bali wedding is said to have been in talks as Luke beveridges successor and is using the valley as a small stepping stone into the AFL coaching ranks.

Kimmy hasn’t been able to be reached for comment.

Regan McCartney has said he is still being starved of league opportunities at the hawks, despite the brothers saying they want to play together in the 2s.

***Schofield coming home***

3 years after we broke the news he was crossing town to the fire brigades, Jayden has taken a coaching job back at his old club railways much to the dismay of his brother Kimmy. Despite winning a JJ in 2021 he has admitted that his playing days are behind him and it is time to don the dress pants.

Schofield has been recruited in the aim to improve the off field culture more than on field.

Clifford has been bought into the team as the medic to help any of the boys in their recovery. Tom has been through many interesting times himself and will be able to prescribe the boys with the performance enhancers they need to keep going.

Joel Pattrick has worked his way into this team in past few years. Let off the chain recently and only the birth of the child can bring him back. This young pup puts away cartons regularly. Like the other Pattricks, born with alcohol in his blood due to Warren rarely seen without a stubby in his hand.

Sacha Jones

Don’t I repeat don’t let yourself get stuck with this bloke. The thunder thighed utility moved to Canada for a year because the stuff was he doing is legal there. Massive inclusion off the bench.

Jayden Schofield

Spoilt brat whinged when he was told wouldn’t make the squad. Hasn’t played a GNFL game in the past decade but his off field record pitches a serious case for inclusion. Another strathalbyn product who needs to head to Sunday mass for lord he has sinned.

Jayden Crowe

A surprise pick for some but not for us here at rumours HQ. A bali trip in the early part of the decade secured his spot and what he is been doing since then is nothing short of phenomenal. A consistent safe pick for us.

Forward pocket - Leith Teakle

Came back from the sharks and didn’t miss a beat. This bloke has seen a few sunrises, including tearing the streets up on a quad in the early hours and landing himself a spot in the Geraldton court house. If you want to experience a true mad Monday, find yourself a time machine and party with the big fella. As you can see he is now settled with the love of his life

Full forward - Karl Zis

Locked up in a relationship for the best part of the decade but get him a dance floor, a few cartons and you won’t see the man for a few days. His best days may be behind him but the bloke can hold a candle to anyone in this 22.

Forward pocket - Kimmy Schofield

Self proclaimed prince. The younger Schofield is a former JJ medal and he sure parties like one. Moved to greener pastures at Wickepin but any chance he gets in Geraldton, the big house has a knock on their door. The ex strathalbyn student has put those days behind him and gone against in the lord in more ways than one

Ruck - Tyson drage

Wow, I learnt 1 night is all you need to experience to realize why he is the first ruck and spiritual captain of this team. Leading young Jaimon Alone astray in Horrocks, anybody that needs something to do when visiting the man is open to a beer at any hour.

Ruck rover - Justin Crudeli

He’s done everything you can on and off the field, including an umpiring debut last year. He’s a golden gloves winner so I’m too scared to write anything nasty well done Justin.

Rover - Daniel Leach

Some say he’s reigned it in since becoming coach, others see straight through it - I know BK’s boat would follow the latter. Cockroach was a nickname given to him recently as you can out drink him all you like, but he finds a way to keep fighting and not roll over. Paula Maslen place is an area many have not come back the same.

Half forward flank - Chris Quick

Where do you begin with this man. Four kids and a wife yet still makes the field for the 22. Luckily for him social media wasn’t huge at the height of his playing up days, but we were able to get our hands on the police questioning following the infamous tarcoola car incident - for those that know 🚘🏡

Centre half forward - Aaron Thomas
With Thomas playing at the valley and pointers there hasn’t been a whole heap to celebrate lately, but you just know if he’s got a bar in his backyard then he can’t be up to much good.

Half forward flank - Kayle Cripps
Northampton poster boy Cripps parties as hard as he plays and that’s saying something. What happens in Northampton generally stays there, but even the Gero boys struggle to keep up with him on country week events.

Wing - Jaimon alone

The bloke can play but the bloke can also party. Horrocks is his hangout to get away from the crowds and with residents like Tyson Drage he could be on a path to no good.

Centre - Jai Russell
The eldest son of Bernie Harvey is no stranger to playing up. Coupled with his cricket exploits, Russell has an excuse all year to be out on the town and away from the cook. A controversial switch late back to Railways probably the only knock on the kid.

Wing - Jordan Comeagain

The saints exploit goes hard there is no denying that. With stalwarts like Mick Wall and Charlie Comeagain Snr footsteps to follow in, he has set himself up for spots in future teams.

Before Quick moved East he was a site to behold off the field. Since moving back he has settled into the quiet Geraldton but you know at any moment he could surprise - see attached video.

Centre half back Calib Mourish

The vibe veteran who once had the dockers pay the sharks to get him on their list. Cakey as he is affectionately known as let’s his on field do the talking, quietly enjoys a cold one.

Half back flank Blake Ryan

Ryan is currently plying his trade in the Pilbara football league, but was at his destructive best when in the GNFL. A silent assassin in his own right, but he sure doesn’t mind going for a trip away when off the clock. Settled down with a missus in the past few years but like quick is one sniff away from going on a tear

Back pocket Tom Rowe

Rowe shot to fame when he was the choir leader in the brigades vs the rest of Geraldton grand final (Mullewa), inspiring them to an underdog victory. Can pop up in Mullewa, Geraldton, Perth, almost anywhere in WA to bender. A very handy addition to the side.

Full back James Teakle

Self nicknamed ‘the viper’ 🐍. This Brigades product time in the GNFL was short but won’t be forgotten, as he was a players trip specialist. The brother of Leith, he has certainly shared ideas with him on how to cause carnage. Teakle also is credited with creating ‘no can do’ which is a brigades favourite to this day - Gaaaaaame on!

Back pocket Adrian Bartlett

The man knows his way around a sporting field. Included in the team not as only as a veteran but as a steady head. The ability to calm some of the seasoned partiers in this team has lead Bartlett to being one of the first picked, although just quietly he doesn’t mind a tin himself.
