Wow! Check out the Midwest Fire Fest in Cambridge, WI this weekend!
Supporting Cambridge-area food and beverage establishments this week is going to be a spicy ton of fun. Midwest Fire Fest created the Food, Fire and Fun tour to help the cash registers ring a little for our many wonderful businesses before the big event. And wow, did they step up with existing and new menu items that are full-o-zing! Please share this post, get your posse saddled up, plan some meals with the fam and show the love. We’ll have more posts as the week goes on, but please consider supporting our friends in the area all dang week long with these phenomenal offerings:
CC Sandwiches - try their new Fire Fest Brisket (sliced smoked beef brisket, melted Wisconsin hot pepper cheese curds, crispy jalapeño kettle chips with bacon jam and mayo on a pretzel roll), or their classic Kaboom! sandwich (grilled chicken breast, spicy bbq sauce, jalapeños and pineapple coleslaw on a ciabatta). Available June 7 & 8.
Cambridge Market - Check out their Sip & Savor Event on Thursday, June 6, 4-7pm - it’s a spicy food tasting with complimentary food and beverage samples like Wisconsin-made cheeses, meats, hot sauces, condiments, chocolates, and beverages. And their weekly special is the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (seasoned shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, gruyere cheese, red onion, and house-made spicy chipotle mayo on grilled sourdough), available June 3 - June 7.
Cambridge Winery - get some “Fire & Ice” - cayenne pepper chocolate bark served with their gold-medal-winning Ice Wine. Available June 5 through June 9.
Cash & Olive's Pub - a cranberry and jalapeño meatball sub, available June 2 through June 9.
Dancing Goat Distillery - Cambridge, Wisconsin - get the Spicy Gin Spritz Cocktail, made with jalapeño & Sereno peppers, infused Death’s Door Gin, cucumber & strawberry juice and club soda, or the "Fire Fest Flight,” 3 samples of whiskey accompanied by specialty chocolates, which also gets you an $8 discount towards a 750ml, 5-year-aged Limousin Rye bottle in the gift shop. Available June 7, 8 and 9.
The Keystone Grill - hunker down on the “Light my Fire,” a smoked pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw with Ken’s Smoke and Fire BBQ sauce, and “Ring of Fire,” a smoked beef brisket sandwich with coleslaw and the Smoke and Fire BBQ Sauce. Plus there will be two new drinks to try - “Keeper of the Fire,” a Limousin Rye Mule made with fresh jalapeño and lime, and the “Firestarter,” a Bloody Mary made with Death’s Door Gin and Smoke and Fire BBQ Sauce. Kroghville Oasis - if you haven’t had their famous 17 ingredient (!) bloody Mary, now’s your chance. Spice yours up as you please! They’re unusually delicious on Sundays!
Hering's Lake Ripley Inn - get their “Johnny Cash hot” jumbo chicken wings for $1 off, available June 6.
London Depot - try this delicious half-pound burger stuffed with jalapeños and onions and topped with pepper jack cheese. Available any time.
The Marigold Room - try the new Fire Cider shot, made with month-long infusion of horseradish, onion, garlic, jalapeño, lemon, ginger, astragalus, and pepper into raw organic apple cider vinegar. Or get the Spiced Chai, served blended with your choice of milk over ice.
Mink Farm Tavern - get “The Hot One” for $1 off, their fantastic burger topped w/jalapeño and pepper jack cheese. Available June 3 through June 9.
