We are looking for people who would be interested in doing pop-up stalls at our monthly Sunday Sessions at The Eighty8 Phnom Penh.

No hot food or sandwich stalls (as that competes with the venue) but would be ideal for arts & crafts, pollution masks, eco-friendly products, etc.

If you are interested, please drop us a line on our page

Next event is 16th February

Sending out big love to everyone who made Episode 1 of the Sunday Sessions such a fun day.

The rum punch was flowing, the jerk chicken was spicy, the music was wonderful, and the people were smiling.

Great to see a few kids down too as we want this to always be a family-friendly event.

Special thanks to big boss Ant, Tom, Connor, and all the team at Eighty 8 for the food, the drinks, and the great service and welcome.

Boom! to our selectors, Professor Kinski, Gorimaa, and Airfix Twin.

We'll be back in January but also watch out for other events coming soon.

Real dub and reggae are finally back in Phnom Penh and not a single Bob tune was heard all day!

Tuff Bass Collective

Tuff Bass Collective

There has been a distinct lack of good bass music in Phnom Penh for a while, particularly in the genres of reggae, dub, and roots. With the return of live performances from international Phnom Penh- based reggae band, Vibratone, and the release of a new album by Dub Addiction Collective, we decided the time was right to remedy this situation. So, we would like to introduce you to TUFF BASS COLLECTIVE, a new crew playing the very best in all forms of bass music. The collective comprises three well known figures from the Cambodian reggae and dub music scenes, and over the next year, we hope to bring some international guests to play in Cambodia, both DJs and live acts/MCs.

Tuff Bass Collective are:

Jan Mueller (Professor Kinski): Having chosen Phnom Penh as his main residence for the last 18 years, German music producer, Jan Mueller aka Professor Kinski, is a founding member of Cambodia's first Ragga Dub outfit, DUB ADDICTION. Having toured festivals in Reunion Island, Denmark, France, Thailand, Vietnam etc., Kinski is now back in his studio in Phnom Penh working his magic on Punk, Dub, Hip Hop, Electro, and Khmer productions. Earlier this year, Mueller joined Gorima’s local Roots Reggae band - VIBRATONE - on guitar. Selecta Prof Kinski plays his own productions as well as the best of Raggamuffin, Steppas, Jungle and UK Breakbeats.
