Luego de instalar los basureros en el pueblo, comenzamos con la iniciativa de ser autosuficientes.• Crear un programa donde empleemos a dos personas de cada vecindario para recolectar basura en el área todos los lunes y jueves. Dar a la gente puestos de trabajo y un sentido de responsabilidad.• Enseñar a la comunidad a través de carteles, panfletos, volantes y talleres sobre reutilización, upcycling, reciclaje y abono para minimizar la basura y encontrar un nuevo propósito para las cosas que normalmente tiran....

What do we do next? Ok, so hear me out. After installing the garbage cans in the town, we begin with the initiative to be self-sufficient. Create a program where we employ two people from each neighborhood to collect trash in the area every Monday and Thursday. Give people jobs and a sense of responsibility. Teach the community through posters, pamphlets, flyers, and workshops about reuse, upcycling, recycling, and compost to minimize trash and find a new purpose for things they will typically throw out....

We got to do better. Let me tell you how my Easter vacation went quickly before talking about garbage. It was pure Semana Santa vibes. The weather was in the high 80 degrees every day, parties at the beach, people from all over were coming to visit, and outfits were on point. I found a nice spot with some shade, refreshing; after eating some Trajadas y Carne Asada from one of my Aunts, I'm looking for a garbage bin to throw away....

However, all efforts are not lost; project deliverables will be adjusted to fulfill the fellowships' purpose and intent.
