On Saturday, I decided to give Mixcloud Live a whirl, to see how it fairs, compared to many of the other streaming systems out there.
While this doesn't include the video, this is the recording of the audio I made.
I started off with 30 mins of chilled out psy, while progressing into full-on as the sun went down.
So, along side that, my opinions on streaming via Mixcloud? Well, it's got the obvious benefit that you are *not* going to get a copyright strike hit you. No fun-police. No yanking you off air.
Like most other platforms, you need an account if you want to comment as it's going. Audio quality seems decent.
But, it's obviously not without flaws. It currently doesn't record anything you do, but there are plans to save the audio, I understand. The Android app doesn't seem to - I could have missed it - support Chromecast natively. I may have missed that, however.
I do think this could end up being the good platform for DJs though, as it's currently the only one designed around us, as first class citizens. Here's hoping
Recording of a trial live stream that I carried out on Mixcloud itself. Started off with some psychill/chillgressive stuff as the sun went down, before dropping into full-on.
