Celebrating the Capri's Band which was founded in the 1960's in Pineville, Louisiana by PHS students.

The Capris originally were formed in the 1960's by some Pineville High School (Louisiana) students.
They practiced at the home of one of the students.
The band went on to have one of their songs Here I Stand rated on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. The kids at the show rated it higher than a Rolling Stones song by 93 percent for Capris and 86 percent for Rolling Stones.
The surviving members of the Capris will be performing at a celebration dance in February.
