🤍 "You have to wear white." Nope. Wear black, red, glitter, or a jumpsuit if you want. It's YOUR day.

💐 "You need a giant bouquet." Says who? Hold a single stem or skip it altogether.

✉️ "Everyone expects a formal invite with calligraphy." Everyone can also read a text. Do what fits your style and your budget.

⛪️ "You should invite your great aunt's neighbor's cat
sitter." Hard pass. Only invite people who truly matter to you.

🎶 "If you don't have a DJ or band, it'll be awkward."
Your Spotify playlist is more than enough if that's your vibe.

Because someone has to keep the day from falling apart and we’re damn good at it.👌🏼

We’re not in this for the champagne toasts, pretty flatlays, or the illusion of “perfect.” We’re here for the real work: the missing vendor, the torn veil, the family drama, the anxiety spiral. We step in — calmly, quickly, quietly — so the couple doesn’t have to.

We don’t do this because it’s glamorous. It’s not. We do it because we believe no one getting married should have to manage 25 people, 12 timelines, and 100 questions on one of the most emotional days of their life.

We are planners because we’ve watched brides cry behind buildings — and we helped them breathe again.
Because we’ve held broken bouquets together with zip ties.Because we’ve stepped between yelling family members so the couple didn’t have to.Because we’ve fixed chaos — without anyone knowing it happened.

Let’s talk about boundaries as event coordinators — because they matter.

Yes, we’re here to help. Yes, we’re often calm in the chaos, carrying extra safety pins, snacks, and solutions. But being helpful doesn’t mean we’re on call 24/7, and it definitely doesn’t mean we’re available to be touched, grabbed, or spoken to without basic respect.

We don’t tolerate being yelled at, micromanaged by someone’s cousin, or physically pulled to “come fix this right now.”

We’re professionals — not personal assistants, not emotional punching bags, and definitely not public property.

We’ll always show up for our clients with energy, care, and professionalism. And we expect the same in return.

If you see a planner on site:
✅ Use words, not hands.
✅ Ask, don’t demand.
✅ Trust that we’re already 10 steps ahead.

This was Jordan’s (hi, that’s me!) very first time assisting in person at a wedding instead of working remotely from Minnesota as part of the DSE team — such a fun change of pace and an amazing experience! 🙌🏽
