When should you book your wedding florist?
The answer is, after you have booked your venue. Having the venue in mind will make it easier for you to visualise your dream wedding and plan for your wedding flowers. It will allow your florist to suggest floral ideas accordingly that create impact and bring your vision to life.
It is important to know that florists might get booked as early as 12 months in advance (sometimes even earlier), so when you find a florist that you would like to work with, it is a good idea to secure their service as early as practicable. This ensures you have ample time to plan and refine your floral wishlist.

One of the questions that we get asked all the time - Can we repurpose our ceremony flowers?
The short answer is yes. It often depends on the style of both the ceremony and reception flowers.
We generally recommend repurposing the whole arrangement from ceremony to reception (e.g. arbour arrangement into bridal table arrangement, aisle/plinth arrangement into bar top arrangement) rather than taking apart the design then trying to create a new arrangement from the individual stems. This is because the stems would have been trimmed to certain lengths for the ceremony design and therefore may not be suited to be pulled apart and reused as a different arrangement for the reception.

Wedding Planning Tips:
- This is one of the most exciting milestones of your life, so enjoy the planning process.
- You do you. There are no rules.
- Don't ghost your vendors if you have asked for quotes. Reply nicely, even if you are declining their services.
- Cheaper doesn't always mean better. Choose vendors that you vibe with, rather than based on the numbers on your quotes.
- Find a photographer that can capture the vibe you are after, the emotions and the special moments on the day. After all, your day will fly by quickly and the only record that you will have of your special day is your photos.
- Flowers will help to accentuate the vibe, therefore use statement pieces to create a beautiful and memorable space.
- Be flexible with flower selection i.e. be specific with your theme and colour palette, rather than the types of flowers you want. When it comes to flowers, there is so much that is beyond our control. Mother Nature, seasonality, shipments all affect the ultimate availability.
- Invite who you want to invite. It's your wedding.
- It's okay if things don't go according to plan. That's life right? Ride with the changes and remember, you are marrying the love of your life. That's what matters the most.

Three things that your vendors would appreciate you to do after your wedding:
- Leave a review for your vendors if you had a great experience. A few kind words go a long way in helping a small business grow.
- Share photos. We would love to see and share the professional photos (with permission from the photographer of course). Sometimes it is a bit of a mad rush to get things done before your ceremony and reception commence, so we might not have the time or extra set of hands to take photos of our finished work. Hence it is always nice to see on the professional photos how your vision came together on your special day.
- Pass our name on. If you loved our work and know someone that's getting married, it would mean a lot to us if you pass on our name.

So many people don't realise this:
Most florists work primarily with fresh flowers. However there are so many different variables that can affect the flowers:
- Heat: humidity, heater in the winter months, sunlight, higher temperatures in the summer months can all reduce the quality/lifespan of your flowers.
- Wind/Rain: can affect your ceremony flowers if you have an outdoor wedding.
- High touch: flowers get handled a lot from the moment they are picked from the farm to the time they arrive in your hands as a bouquet or get arranged for your ceremony/reception.
- Time out of water: this affects your personal flowers like boutonnieres and bouquets.
We take our work seriously and work really hard behind the scenes before your wedding.
We take every measure and precaution to ensure that your flowers look beautiful and at their absolute best on your special day.
We really appreciate our lovely clients for understanding this and for seeing the value in our work.
