Floating dahlias. Genius idea 💡 Give fading blooms a new lease of life… pluck off the outer petals, stick them in some water et voila… they look fresh again! I’m in love with these big floating blooms 💚

Dahlias desperately trying to catch up… after a great start indoors, an unfortunate incident with soapy water 🙄 (spotted aphids on a couple and read this was a good way to beat them!) left them in a very very sorry state! Maybe shouldn’t have used antibacterial washing liquid 🤷🏻‍♀️😵‍💫🤣

💚 April 1st 2021 - Dahlia tubers potted up indoors in 5 litre pots (3 litre pots would have been ok if tubers were started off later)
