Ever wonder what happens to my couples after I’ve married them??
Do I stay in touch?

Well that’s entirely up to you!

Some couples just disappear and get on with their life, happy that I’ve married them.

Others like this happy couple who have just celebrated their 2nd anniversary Naomi and Amy stay in touch.

Messages on instagram now and then, or if they attend an event they know I’ll be at - they’ll come and say 👋.

This is still one of my favourite pics!
Such joy as they chose their witnesses via a “Witness Lotto”.

Happy Anniversary ❤️❤️ Naomi + Amy

Let’s talk VOWS!!
They are the promises you make to each other on your wedding day.

❤️What do you read your vows from on the day? Your phone? A scrappy piece of paper?

❤️Well …if I’m your celebrant - you can send your vows to me (separately- so your partner doesn’t see) and I will print them out and place them in my beautiful “ I promise “ “and I promise “ vow holders for you to read from on the day.

Benefits -
1. you can write your vows a few weeks/months ahead of time, send to me and then that’s one less thing to think about.🤍

2. You don’t have to remember to bring them on the day🤍

3. It will look lovely on your photos.🤍Just check out this gorgeous photo taken by Kylie from KWP Studios Flagstone of Gina and John on their special day🤍🤍

And if white🤍isn’t fitting with your theme…I have them in red ❤️❤️too!

I’m often asked the following questions regarding a “ Legals Only” ceremony. So here’s the answers!!

Can I get married this week⁉️No sorry, from signing the paperwork with me - you have to wait ONE MONTH before marrying.

What should I wear⁉️ whatever you want. I’ve had couples in a long white wedding dress, and a suit. I’ve had others in jeans and a tee that have nipped out on their lunch break!

Can we bring flowers⁉️💐yes absolutely

Can we take photos⁉️yes absolutely.

Can we bring lots of guests⁉️no - just your 2 witnesses

Do we need to go to the courthouse(Registry) afterwards - to register the marriage ⁉️ no - I’ll do all that for you.

Can we get married in the evening as we both work⁉️ yes we can find a time that suits us both.

Can we exchange rings⁉️yes absolutely

Can we say personal vows as well as the legal ones⁉️yes absolutely.

This is exactly what this lovely couple did. 5pm on a Thursday. Then they went to the local pub to meet all their friends and to tell them they’d just got married. And they spent a lovely evening celebrating.

If this sounds like what you’d like - get in touch and let’s make it happen.❤️💜

My gorgeous dress cost me $50 at the Op shop in Logan Central , the big Lifeline 😍
It had stains on it so I asked for it to be reduced . An angel ( the manager ) came over and said yes it could and bought it down to $50
Then my beautiful friends at Bridal Bright Wedding And Formal Dress Cleaning took it away and cleaned it back to its glory , all stains gone plus whiter then before , all for FREE 🧡
I am just so grateful to them for the amazing v job they did .
I bought my veil online for $6 or $7 , it was full length and had silver sparkles
My flowers were fake flowers bought from a cheap shop in woodridge ( dollars and sense ( , $2.50a bunch and put together by my friend Councillor Teresa Lane Div 2 LCC . Plus she drove me in her car which was shining like new because of her amazing husband John 🧡
The suit athol is in was donated , as was the bow tie and vest and shirt and shoes
The round photo prop was lent to us by my good friend Donna from Storage King Australia and our venue was with our great friend Lynda at Amputees Queensland venue Ben Matthews Playground Community Centre at Logan Central 🧡🧡
Boys hair done by Nicky Spasifik Cuts Barbershop
Girls hair and make up done by my oldest girl Ryleigh 🧡
The Ceremony was done by Love Wins with Lins - Marriage Celebrant
The music in the ceremony was by Emma Jordyn , followed by the band from Kalvin Ace and Chanel from the KingStones Innovative Disability Support
The event was decorated by myself , lynda and the beautiful Penny from Event Mania
🧡🧡
My gorgeous friend Jenny did the most incredible Lolly Buffet and all the printing, placecards , decorated our crocs and so much more
The Girls dresses and boys suits came from Formally Ever After Qld Inc.
The main cake was made by the lovely Shan from Bravery Box - Rewards for Kids with Cancer 🧡
Lynda made our second cake
Brenton from Jim Chalmers MP office did photos for us 🧡
I know I've probably missed someone but ill be doing posts all the week about the great people who contributed to make our wedding a dream come true 🧡🧡

For now I just want to show this amazing dress

Family and friends gathered around us and helped us have the most amazing wedding
Our guests bought in a dish to share 🧡

Everything was perfect and there was so much love in the air 🧡
We are very blessed

Hi! I’m Lins, and my branding colours are red ❤️ and purple 💜 and rainbow 🌈
But why Lins??? Such an unusual combo!!

Well - red ❤️ is obviously the colour of LOVE ❤️ no explanation needed.

And purple 💜 is for independence.

I feel these are the 2 essential elements for a successful marriage ❤️💜

You need LOVE ……but you also both need to have that level of INDEPENDENCE where you still are the creator of your own life.
To still have that ability to be yourself no matter what. No-one should tell you what to wear, how to have your hair, or what friends you can see. That is not love.

And a 🌈 heart in my logo - shows I am a proud ALLY for the LGBTQIA+ community. 365 days of the year.
I don’t turn it on or off depending who I am with. It’s how I live my everyday life. ❤️💜🌈

And the fact that ❤️ and 💜 are on both ends of the 🏳️‍🌈 that works for me too!
So now you know !!!

Thanks to Kirsty for these great shots taken at a recent branding session by the lovely Roxy and as always got to hang with my celebrant friends from The Celebrant Society - where it’s all about “Community over Competition “
