Oh hey! 👋🏼

My name is Emily and I own and operate Beauty Grows Wild here in southern Oregon.

I am just about to finish up my 5th season growing flowers. My last weddings of this season are this week!

I love love love what this business has become. At this point, I primarily offer bulk buckets of flowers and greenery for those of you that want to DIY your wedding floral arrangements. I also do small weddings, which often consist of a bridal bouquet and/or arch arrangement + bulk buckets. I also have a slight obsession with dried flowers which I offer through my Etsy store and local pick up.

I love how businesses, just like people, evolve and change over time. I love the freedom to grow, change and pivot.

If you are looking for local flowers, I would love to curate some rad buckets for you. If you’re looking for something I don’t offer, send me a message and I’ll point you in the right direction. The flower growers in southern oregon are the best and I am thankful to call many of them my friends ❤️

Calling all brides!!! 💍

You wanna create bridesmaid bouquets at your rehearsal dinner with your bridal party?

So fun! 🙌🏼

Here’s what you definitely need to know:

1. After picking up your buckets of flowers, keep them in a cool, dark location in buckets full of water! For real, check the water levels, Opt for a walk in closet in an air conditioned room or basement. I would not recommend putting the flowers in the refrigerator!

2. Before you create the bouquets, determine a specific stem count range you’d like them to each have. Side note: I am not usually a big proponent of stem counting bouquets, hard rules on creativity, however, the goal here is consistency. When you look at the photos of your wedding, you don’t want Nancy on the left to stand out like a sore thumb because she wanted to be extra with her floral design skills, Ideally, you’d create an example bouquet to show your girls what you have in mind and give them a stem count range to create their bouquet. If you don’t have time for that because it’s the day before your wedding and you’re busy, that’s ok! Create them together. The goal is for them to be cohesive and consistent, not identical.

3. Wrap them all with the same ribbon. This helps to create cohesion so no one bouquet stands out. The bridal bouquet can be wrapped differently, but I wouldn’t go wild with each bouquet being super different. It sounds like a fun idea, but tends to look messy instead of intentional.

***Disclaimer: all of these tips are based on my experience. As with all creative endevours, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you’d like to disregard all of these ideas and do the opposite, by all means, you do you boo.

Last year at this time I was a puddle of perpetual tears. I was oscillating between the chaos of spring tasks and doing things like pouring over childhood photos of my daughter for the school yearbook.

As my oldest child neared her high school graduation date, I felt emotions no one could have prepared me for. Sweet walks down memory lane, graduation announcements, lots of “lasts.” My heart literally ached. This girl has been along for the ride with me for so long and now she was hitting a milestone that neither of us was ready for.

Two things that stuck out to me that I am passing along to the mamas going through this experience right now…

1. Soak it all in. On the other side is a new, amazing season with your young adult human you cherish in a whole new way.

2. Let this be a moment you recalibrate. Recalibrate so that you spend time intentionally with the people you love. Time flies. It’s ok to grieve what you have missed out on or things you would have done differently. However, you have to pick yourself up and look ahead with a fresh perspective.

I see you, You are not alone. This is sweet and hard and lovely and terrible. It’s okay to feel all of those things. 🤍🤍🤍

In most aspects of my life, there is no middle ground. I am an all or nothing kinda girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am who I am.

Motif Event Rentals is the best!

Yesterday we received a call from a woman planning a baby shower for her daughter. She was wanting to reserve our peacock chairs for the event, because the mama to be had used them for her wedding last summer 💕 Today we received an inquiry from another mama, wanting to rent our peacock chair for her daughter’s baby shower this weekend, because they had used the same chairs for her wedding this past summer. The same request, for two different dates, for two brides from last year that are having baby showers and wanting to use their special wedding chairs to celebrate their baby on the way 💕 Wouldn’t it be super fun if they rented it again to do a photo shoot with baby? 💞

It’s that full circle feeling; we are grateful and proud to be a part of these moments, and continued moments for so many.
