I had the profound pleasure of talking with my friends Kathy Silveira Escobar and Phyllis Mathis on their podcast . I was excited to be able to share about my work and how trauma healing for social justice becoming a big theme. Our big take away is how empowering it is to be able to cultivate greater inner space to be able to host the feeling of discomfort. Ah the healing power of inner and outer spaciousness is vast and inspiring!!

”Our big crew loved Holly’s place! We had family coming in from different states to meet up and Holly graciously allowed an early check-in for one of our crew. The place was super clean! Smelled clean, was spotless, with clean linens. Towels and soaps on every pillow, coffee and teas provided, dry firewood stacked for use, hot tub was nice and clean and ready to go! The kitchen was ready with all utensils, gadgets, and spices. It’s a great space for a large group of people! We congregated on the back patio for smores and hot tubing, played cards and games a the picnic table on the porch. Plenty of napping was done on the porch swing and comfortable couches. Kitchen gatherings on the bar stools and kitchen chairs. It’s just a few minutes uphill from the NOC and all the outdoor activities. We highly recommend Holly’s place!”

Hey it's ok to nap! "As many of us adjust to working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we may notice our bodies asking us to nap. This is not an indulgent demand. Scheduling regular naps can help us bring structure to days that usually are broken up into at-home and away periods. In one sense, this is true: I cannot in good conscience help anyone create a retreat, plan a wedding, or use our rental kits when gathering even in small groups can result in illness and death. This truth isn’t the moral of the story, however. Rather, I believe that this is exactly the time to launch Restorative Retreats on a virtual level, drawing upon my experience using online learning and organizing platforms to ensure that the restorative work we usually do in person is accessible to us now at this most challenging of times."
