It’s been a big few days for this ole Mama! My baby turning 18 and starting the first day of his senior year today! Whew! Time SLOW DOWN!!
This little arrangement I get asked to do each year always reminds me how your Mama is ALWAYS your number one fan no matter what. She will always pray for you, fight for you, cheer for you, protect you, support you, and love you through it all! The love of a Mother is truly one of the most pure and precious gifts and privileges to pass along to a child. A child is part of your heart!
This little school house is filled with flowers by a Mama that always sends flowers to her Kindergarten teacher daughter, teaching 28 years, (two extraordinary women I might add) and goodness I’ve loved being a part of it the last few years. It always warms my heart so much!
Sending all my love to the Mamas today! College drop offs have begun and I know that feeling all too well, new kindergarten mamas sending their baby off, new school Mamas, SENIOR Mamas, Mamas of teachers, all the different stages we go through… You go with them always and they are READY! My Mom always says to take her along in our pocket when we go out of town or on a trip, and we always know she’s close! That’s where you’ll be too sweet Mama, tucked in close by… not too far away. A mamas love is forever…

I recently did some memorial florals for a celebration of life, and afterwards the family shared the flowers with some assisted living locations afterwards. I thought it was the sweetest of gestures and I loved it so much! ❤️

Interrupting my flower feed to say the happiest birthday wishes to my EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD! How can my Lukey be this old? This was one of my fave memories from this year we shared road tripping to see the eclipse with my sis and her two boys.He doesn’t ask to do much, but this was one thing he really wanted to see again and I’m so glad we did! He’s not one that likes to be in pictures or cares for the spot light. His quiet, keeping to himself, wise and analytical/inquisitive mind remind me much of the Poppie he never met. But has many other qualities that truly make him special and unique. A love for music, a kind heart, determination, and a strong will to name a few… I’ll forever be grateful for this day and thankful to God for being so kind in sharing this one with us. Life wouldn’t be the same without him and I’m holding these last 18 years close to my heart today (and every day) thanking the Lord for this fella and asking Him to always follow close and be near to his heart. Happy 18 to my precious son, Luke! You are so loved!

It still sure looks and feels like summer! It’s back to school time and I have the flowers to prove it! Lots of surprises headed out today and the last couple days for some awesome teachers and administrators. 🌺 I’ll never understand why we start school so early here in TN! It’s the first day of school in our county for many and I’m saying a prayer of peace, safety, and a good year over all the schools, teachers, and students! It’s gonna be a great year!! (And a really big one in my house with a Senior!!!!He goes back next week!)

Instead of complaining,replace it with gratitude. Find something to be grateful for many, many times a day. You woke up today, the sun is shining, you are healthy, you ‘get to’ walk, run, see, hear, smell, touch…. Don’t focus on the negative, or find a flaw in every single thing, every day is such a gift! Treat it as if it were your last…

As I continue to age, I’m reminded again and again to live each day with gratitude and thanksgiving of the people in my life. We never know when it will be their or our last day on earth… tell them now how wonderful they are vs at their funeral. I often wonder why we wait to tell how we felt about someone at their funeral, they can’t hear that… Today’s to do list… tell someone how much they mean to you today! Encourage. Love. Reflect. Repeat daily!! ❤️

There aren’t too many occasions I get to help one of my boys with flowers! And what a joy to help my first born nephew Max add a little beauty to the barn when he asked his girlfriend to be his fiancé! He just wondered if I had any extra flowers he could use in her favorite color purple and was okay if I added a little extra… So I got to work and found all the purples I could and made a couple things including a special bouquet for her, and he decorated the hay bales, and lined the walkway with petals to make it so special for his bride to be! He set it all up perfectly and it looked so amazing! It was so neat that he asked her inside his Pops and Granny’s barn. I even snuck some ‘Poppie pods’ in the blooms to remember his namesake by…
What a sweet , sweet day it was as I worked and reflected on watching him grow into the man he has become. He loves the Lord and has always done things the ‘Max way’ which is full of love, light, and lots of laughter! He will make one wonderful husband with his caring, fun, sensitive, and kind heart. I’m proud of these two and the love they share and my hope and prayer is that they live happily ever after forever and ever!

Twenty years and butterflies… today is a day that I’ll never forget. Today, twenty years ago, Dad (aka Poppie) went to his heavenly home. A massive heart attack. Leaving my mom a widow, my sisters and I fatherless (on earth), and our children without a man of great wisdom, encouragement, tradition, and love to share.
He became a butterfly to us soon after leaving this world, like the one my aunt spoke about at his funeral. A yellow Monarch to be exact…he flutters by sometimes when we least expect it or an image of one on something pops up as a reminder. To live for every season… because there is such a time for this. A season for birth and death, for planting and harvesting, a season to laugh and cry, a season for tearing down and building up, a season to be quiet and one to speak. A few words from his fave Bible verse in Ecclesiastes. Life is fast, a v***r, like a butterfly, fluttering in and out…. When we see butterflies we have a story to tell each other, or that it was just a moment to say Hi Dad, or reassurance that he’s still close by, just a flutter away… they’ve given us great comfort.
I’m thankful today for his legacy and the family he and Mom created and all the love they planted in our hearts so long ago. It gave us wings to fly and to always look to the Lord to seek his goodness in every season. I’m remembering him today with such fondness and will be looking for him in my garden as I take a little walk around the flowers.

The Stanley Cup special still proves to be one of my strong sellers filled with happy blooms since Valentine’s Day! So many of ya’ll scooped these up! It’s fun to have the cup after the flowers fade and every sip you take has you not only enjoying your new cup but the sweet person that sent it to you! So fun!! And perfect in the sun!!!! 😎

Let’s build something lovely! A wristlet! Been another busy week getting beautiful things ready for kiddos to wear for Goodpasture’s banquet. As quickly as this video was, the reality equals 12-15 hour days for the volume I’m cranking out. Each one is its own little unique creation and gets special attention to detail, colors to match, and a flower search for just the right thing! And as always, little prayers tucked inside. ♥️ I know I sound like a broken record but if I don’t have you down already for April 23rd weekend or May 6th and 7th, I am completely booked out. Thank y’all for all the love!!! And I’m trying my best to communicate with so many of you, thank you for your patience and understanding!
