Hometown Holiday

We are incredibly grateful for all our volunteers, donors, and everyone who supports our annual event! From a small group to now needing a larger space for future events—thank you, thank you!!!

The joy we witness in others is truly heartwarming, with so many happy kids and families creating holiday memories. While we love what we do and will continue to help, the busy holiday season has made it necessary for us to shift our focus. In 2025, we are seeking new leaders to take over the Hometown Holiday event and help it grow by fostering more connections with local businesses, with the goal of establishing a hallmark holiday tradition in Hortonville.

If you're interested, please send us an email, and we'll keep you updated on when our committee meeting will take place. We'll discuss how things went, identify areas for improvement, and shift things into the hands of our new leaders ❤️.

Though our local coffee shops are not open during the evenings, Otter Creek Sports Bar & Grill confirmed they will have hot chocolate ☕ and other beverages available to sip on as you cheer on the turkey bowling 🦃🎳 or watch the tree lighting 🌲✨ this Saturday!

Holy smokes!!! Have you been following along with Hortonville Police Department?!!? Apologies – some things aren't tagging quite as we expected, and it's been a busy week! We are up to 19 bikes, and I lost track of how many baskets we have!!!

A Big Thank You to Our Generous Donors!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has so generously donated bikes and baskets to support our event. Your kindness and support help us bring joy to our community and make this event a huge success!

Raffle Reminders:
⏰Tickets given/sold 1pm-3pm
⏰ Drawings start at 3pm

Bikes:
🚲Bike tickets will be drawn first
🚲1 free white ticket per child for a bike
🚲No need to be present to win a bike - winners will be called 12/16 if not present
🚲Bike tickets are not available for purchase

Baskets:
🎟️ Baskets must be present to win
🎟️1 free red ticket per adult to win a basket
🎟️All proceeds go to future events
💵$1 for 1 ticket
💵$5 for 7 tickets
💵$20 for 35 tickets

🎄 Thank you Wolfrath's Nursery and Landscaping for generously donating our village tree for the second year in a row!!!! 🎄

Standing at an impressive 18 feet high, we did our best to decorate with a team of two 5'4" and one 5'7" decorators! Our amazing DWP crew will take care of the top next week in time for our Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 14th, around 4:30 PM (once it’s dark enough—try your hand at turkey bowling or watch while you wait!).

Exciting news, folks!

You’re all safe from my baking disasters for another year😆!

A huge shoutout to Bulk-Priced Food Shoppe - Greenville for their generous donation of frosting and sprinkles! And a big thank you to the Hortonville Police Department for supplying the mouthwatering cookies! 🍪 (A special thanks to the anonymous local woman who will be baking them all with love for this event!)

And once again, the awesome Friends of the Hortonville Library will be keeping us warm with hot cider and cocoa ☕️ while we gather for all the fun!

Grab a partner and join us for a ROLLING good time! Teams of 2 are invited to participate in Turkey Bowling on December 14th, from 3pm-6pm on Pine Street in downtown Hortonville as part of the Hometown Holiday Community Event!
