❄️Hometown Holiday❄️ Here’s a small glimpse of the fun and Christmas cheer that was had at Hometown Holiday this year! Thank you to everyone that helped make this day possible!!

05/12/2025

❄️ Hometown Holiday Update: due to some recent events the time for the event has been changed to 1p-4p. We do apologize for any inconvenience. ❄️

We will have the following activities from 1p-4p:

🌲cookie decorating
🌲 ornament decorating
🌲 letters to Santa
🌲 meeting Santa
🌲 face painting
🌲 tree lighting downtown at 4:30p

Our focus is on the holiday spirit, therefore we will not have any raffles at the event. We wish to keep this a free event. Due to a lack of response, turkey bowling has been removed from from the agenda. After the tree lighting please feel free to walk down to the Hortonville Historical Society & Preservation for their soft opening from 1pm-6pm.

Thank you for your understanding and please share as we want to get this communication out.

Thank you!!

We are still looking for someone to take new "ownership" of Hometown Holiday!

You won't have to start from scratch or alone! You'll receive.......

✅️ Support from: Village of Hortonville WI , Hortonville Police Department, Friends of the Hortonville Library , Hortonville Emergency Medical Services , and many local businesses
✅️ Supplies from previous years
✅️ Event space (Community Center and can also work with the Village for downtown space)
✅️ Funds raised from raffles to expand
✅️ Seeing the joy on many smiling faces

Unfortunately, the kids are getting older and life is starting to "switch gears" for us.

Please send a message if you're willing and able to take this community event over ❤️!

Update: We have someone who volunteered to keep this event going AND growing 🥰!

We are incredibly grateful for all our volunteers, donors, and everyone who supports our annual event! From a small group to now needing a larger space for future events—thank you, thank you!!!

The joy we witness in others is truly heartwarming, with so many happy kids and families creating holiday memories. While we love what we do and will continue to help, the busy holiday season has made it necessary for us to shift our focus. In 2025, we are seeking new leaders to take over the Hometown Holiday event and help it grow by fostering more connections with local businesses, with the goal of establishing a hallmark holiday tradition in Hortonville.

If you're interested, please send us an email, and we'll keep you updated on when our committee meeting will take place. We'll discuss how things went, identify areas for improvement, and shift things into the hands of our new leaders ❤️.

*A date will be set after the Holidays*
